On the Orange Prowler, all of a sudden the passenger window will not lower, using either the passenger side control or the driver's side. It worked fine while I was washing it, t all of a sudden it is "almost" totally dead. It will move about 1/16". It has Lambo doors. Any suggestions? |

Put it back in the garage for another 7 years? If it's moving at all sounds like it has juice. Take the door panel off and look inside. Regulator binding? Ususlly moves more than what your are describing though. Bad motor, possibly. You ready to sell it to me at our historical discount (or is it hysterical discount)? |

I play golf all the time with an older (than me) guy and once in a great while his neighbor plays with us. They call him Clem. When he was a kid he was wearing a pair of bib overalls and the other kids said he looked like Clem Kaddlehopper and he is about 80 years old now. This is "another fine mess you got us in Ollie". Update. I haven't had much time to mess with the door/window. Tonight I decided to take the door panel off so I put the top down and went to the driver's side to look at the allen screw in the door pull to see what size. It was easier to get a close look with the window down. I had the driver's door UP, hit the window switch for the passenger door window and it went down. I put the screws back in and went to get gas and needed a can of gas for the lawn mower. I tried the window and it went u with passenger door switch but wouldn't go down. I tried the driver's side door switch and the window on the passenger side went down, AGAIN. Turns out I can raise the passenger side window from the passenger side, but can't lower it from that side. I can lower it from the driver's side ONLY if the door is UP. Lambo doors, remember. I figure it is fixed or close enough to be called "fixed". lol It is hotter than heck here and the humidity is sky high also. It can wait. Now it is on to new tires. Steve it was only 5 1/2 years, quit exaggerating. lol Started right up after I put in a new battery. The other one had a bad cell. Old gas, not treated and it runs GREAT, seriously. It has 22,000 miles on it. |

Update. I finally had time to mess with it somewhat. I took the door panel off, disconnected all of the controls. It is NOT the switch. It is the wiring inside the door itself. With the door down it is continuing to have the same problems while the control is in my hand facing any direction or orientation. When I put the door up, I can control the passenger side, so the "short" or loose connection is in the wiring inside the door itself. I presume it was caused when they put in the lambo kit. I wish I knew a lot more about wiring at this point. Also the door lock will click off and on while the door is being raised. More fun to follow soon. |

I've had wires in the hinge area separate inside the insulation and cause issues like that. Other cars, not the Prowler. Yet. |

I am figuring it got screwed up with the lambo door installation. The door lock was always a little goofy. It got dark and I couldn't see well enough to go any further tonight. |

When they installed the Lambo doors they had to cut all of the wires to remove the door completely, apparently. One of the connections basically fell apart right at the hinge area. It is working properly now. Thanks for the help and the PM help. |
