Rich, please do yourself a favor and send them to Dick and have him fix them permanently. I don’t care what you do to try and glue, epoxy or what ever, it’s not going to last and if you lose just one cap it’s going to cost you as much to replace it as it would have cost you to get them all redone. I had mine done 2 or 3 years ago and haven’t had a speck of trouble with them since. I think it was just over a hundred bucks and postage. It’s your decision but I’m just trying to save you the frustration. Please don’t take offense my intention is only to help you. Jer

Rich,
Back before the repair Dick L (With Ed M's assistance) came up with, many folks did apply an epoxy of some sort at the base of the tabs and it worked well for some and not so well for others.
I have had the Dick L. repair done to all the caps on my car, as did my Dad on his car and trailer. I have been extremely happy with the repaired caps and have had no issues.

I second what Jer said....Send them all in and have them done right, you'll be happy you did and won't need to worry about it any longer.

Send them directly to Dick Linneman. He thinks he needs me in the equation, but he doesn't need me.
Dick Linneman
Sterling Industries
5642 Victory Dr
Cincinnati, OH 45233
Shipping is $ 15, total, for one or four caps.
Repair is $ 30 for one plus $10 shipping
Repair is $100 for four plus $ 15 shipping.
Mark the back of them with a magic marker and he will make sure you get the same ones back.
He usually repairs them the same day he gets them (or the next day, at the latest). He holds them a day to make sure the epoxy (?) sets and the ring does not get knocked out of place during shipping. You should get them back in about a week from the day you shipped them off. The weekend could delay that a day or so. He does them quickly.
You can remove the tabs and the O ring before you send them to Dick. He breaks them off and throws them away. If you break them off you don't have to worry about them scratching the other caps plus it cuts down on space and weight.
The return shipping is higher because the caps weigh a bit more with the repair.
The information here is still current as of 8/21/18.

Ed M had NOTHING to do with the fix. Dick is not into computers and he asked me to post the info, way back when. I deserve ZERO credit. I am just a happy customer, also. I happen to be local and friends with Dick, so it all worked out.

Ed, That is what I meant by your "Assistance" because without it, we might still be looking for solutions.

I appreciate the "tip of the hat" but I don't want anyone to think I was part of the REAL solution.
