I thought I had a stone stuck in the treads. Turns out there was a bolt embedded into the tread. The head of it was sticking out in the valley of the tread and the threaded part of the bolt was inside and under the raised thread. It did not have a point and the tire did not leak any air. It was kind of tough to get out since there isn't much room to work. I gripped it with a vise grip and used a hammer to ease it out. I couldn't just pull it out. It is not a typical m/c tire. It is a car tire from a Mini Cooper. The bolt was an allen wrench type. How in the heck did it get into the rubber with no point! Weirdest thing that ever happened to me was I pulled into Phoenix one night and found a pair of pliers embedded in one of my semi tires. Found many bolts in tires over years. Jer |
