Ed,
As I understand it....Montgomery Ward will be who you need to contact for tool related Warranty issues.

I know Tom Ward but I don't know if he is related to Montgomery. Sandy's parents lived in Montgomery (and so did Bob & CJ a long time ago). Hopefully I won't need any warranty repairs or replacements.

Ed's right, Ace Hardware Stores do carry a good selection of Craftsman Tools. The stores in my area are locally owned. You can't get 20 ft. into a store without an employee greeting you and asking if you need help. They will walk you to the items you are looking for and answer any questions you have. Much better than our local Sears where you have to walk thru half the store just to find a staffed cash register. Sears has screwed themselves by cutting out employees and merchandise.

Our local ACE Hardware is the same way. They have enough people that are knowledgeable of the various products they sell. A lot of retired trades people seem to work there.
I have had help with plumbing from retired plumbers and even welding from retired welders. Most of the time if I am on a project and you go into a place like ACE they will help you pick out the right parts and after that I can usually figure it out from there.

I agree that ACE usually greets you and they know what you are talking about. I went to Home Depot yesterday to get wallpaper scraper blades. The girl told me they were in Section 12. I looked and looked and then checked the next section and finally told her I couldn't find them. She then took me to what she thought was scraper blades. NOT. They were another 20 feet down that same aisle. She had no idea what I wanted.

Ed,,,,, Sorry to report more bad news:

Joe's Crab Shack abruptly closes all Michigan locations

Really disappointing right now since Taco Bell is there for the Dream Cruise..... Where will he and Mr. Ed get a "case of crabs" now? Craigslist personals?

Went to Sears recently to get a price on a water filter for our fridge which we bought there. The sales lady said they had none but could order one, two to three weeks to get it to the store and she was starting to walk away waiting for my response. The only thing that came to mind was you people have completely given up, I would be embarrassed to say that to a customer. So I ordered one online, had it in 3 days, seems like Sears isn't even trying.

Ed, while you are basking in the FL sunshine, I figure you are awaiting a SEARS update:
.
http://www.msn.com/en-us/money/companies/the-rise-and-fall-of-sears-once-the-largest-and-most-powerful-retailer-in-the-world/ss-BBZiLVa?li=BBnb7Kz&ocid=iehp
.
.

From over 3,500 stores they are now down to less than 200 stores. Do you think Gort is still working as a door greeter or a security guard there?
.
.

"After managing to survive two World Wars and the Great Depression, Sears has no doubt fallen victim to what's been dubbed as "the retail apocalypse."

I always thought the internet at a modern day catalogue. Back in the day when people went to the store to get common everyday items but had to order specialty items by catalogue. The big difference is even everyday items are delivered at your door step cheaper than the local shop. The old business model isn't working anymore, change or die.

I have a Sears store close by, I guess we are one of the lucky 182 left. I actually just bought some tools there last week. We usually don't shop there much, but we went on black Friday and bought $210 worth of stuff for 50% off for $105. They had a special on, spend $100 and get $100 in points plus a $25 in bonus points. Plus when you get your receipt there are always $5 or $10 off on certain things. So between sale prices, money off receipts and points in the last 2 months we have bought $375 merchandise for $18, not counting the $105 we saved on black friday. Not sure why their losing money 💰.

I think he said he is on bike this time, staying in someone's house instead of their driveway. LOL Or maybe in that boat he keeps taking pictures from.

Gary,,, No,,they are either sleeping in the palatial motor home or a tent, down near the lake... The relatives down there put out the 'NO VACANCY' sign when they know that Ed is heading down that way.

Ed has used up his welcome down there after the past several years mooching

I did not realize that Ed upgraded his Motor Home.
If memory serves, the old one was nowhere near as nice or luxurious as the one A/C posted photo's of.

On second thought, maybe A/C is trying to pull a fast one and make us think Ed is better off than many of us know him to be.

Lowe’s is now fully stocked with Craftsman tools. I guess Kolbalt is out.

Gary, Jeff is selling goats. You can name it John Deere and it doesnt need gas or oil changes.

Didn’t see you at Popeyes in GB last Tuesday. I figured you hadn’t been in yet since they still had chicken.

Lowes won't give them to me for free. Lol

Did you buy a goat? Why is he selling them, not eating enough grass?

What were you doing in my chicken area without permission? Someone going to get plucked next time I go there.

Sears closing 3 more stores in Maryland. We might need Ed to come here to save the rest.
