Liberal writer: I would rather my daughter date an MS-13 member than a Republican A writer said that he'd rather have his daughter date a member of the murderous MS-13 gang than a Republican. Rob Rousseau, who also stated that he does not have actually have a daughter, expressed his preference in a tweet last week.
"MS-13's motto: Kill, rape, control ... That's what you want dating your daughter?" Ryder said he's witnessed the violence of MS-13 firsthand on Long Island, and that his department investigated six homicides by the gang last year. "I would love for [Rousseau] to sit down and speak with the victims' families," he said. "Tell them that he would rather have an MS-13 [member] date his daughter." Rousseau's tweet came just a day after President Trump described members of the gang as "animals" during a roundtable at the White House. Trump's remarks were taken out of context by much of the media, which ran stories that claimed he used the term to describe illegal immigrants more broadly. "You wouldn’t believe how bad these people are. These aren’t people, these are animals, and we’re taking them out of the country at a level and at a rate that’s never happened before," Trump had said. |

CNN star Jim Acosta rips Kim Kardashian's prison reform meeting with Trump, but lauded John Legend's activism on same during Obama years By Brian Flood | Fox News CNN star reporter Jim Acosta slammed Kim Kardashian West’s meeting with President Trump regarding prison reform on Wednesday as “not normal,” but media watchers quickly pointed out his hypocrisy by pointing to Acosta's sitdown with singer John Legend's in 2015 during President Obama’s administration to talk about the exact same subject. Kim Kardashian goes to the White House to discuss a topic that both she and top White House adviser Jared Kushner both champion: prison reform. A look at what you need to know about the bi-partisan issue. “She shouldn’t be here, talking about prison reform, it’s very nice that she is here but that’s not a serious thing to have happened here at the White House,” Acosta said on CNN Wednesday in the middle of a rant about Trump’s tweet regarding Roseanne Barr’s recent firing. Acosta took issue with Kardashian West and Trump reportedly discussing prison reform and the possible pardon for a great-grandmother who is serving a drug-related life prison sentence. However, in 2015 Acosta sat down with Legend for a lengthy feature on mass incarceration and the criminal justice system. When Legend declared that prison is not the solution to every problem, Acosta nodded approvingly before noting that prison reform is “personal” for the musician. Legend and his celebrity wife, Chrissy Teigen, visited the White House several times during the Obama administration and once hinted that they had sex at an “Obama thing.” Acosta never objected to any of Legend’s meetings with Obama. CNN did not immediately respond to a request for comment regarding when Acosta changed his mind about celebrities discussing prison reform and visiting the White House. The double standard didn’t go unnoticed. Mediaite’s Joseph Wulfsohn penned a column headlined, “Jim Acosta Trashes Kim Kardashian’s Prison Reform Efforts As Not ‘Serious’ After Taking John Legend’s Seriously in 2015,” which examines the CNN star’s abrupt change in attitude. “If your argument is that Legend is some intellect singer-songwriter and Kardashian is some air-headed reality star, that misses the point. Look at what they have in common; they’re A-list celebrities with huge followings who have sincere passions that involve politics and in this case, both are using their celebrity status on prison reform,” Wulfsohn wrote. Wulfsohn gave Acosta the “benefit of the doubt” that sexism isn’t a factor in the reporter’s flip-flopped views on celebrities using their star power in an attempt to impact prison reform. “Perhaps it’s his disdain for Donald Trump, a president who he essentially admitted doesn’t take seriously,” Wulfsohn added. Wulfsohn wasn’t the only watchdog to notice Acosta’s Hypocrisy. Fox News contributor Stephen Miller tweeted contradicting screen grabs of various tweets the CNN reporter has sent over the years, while countless others took to Twitter to mock Acosta. Acosta recently bragged that he was kicked out of the Oval Office by President Trump, saying he wears it “as a badge of honor,” while being glorified for serving as White House antagonist during an appearance on ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live.” Earlier this year, Trump kicked the CNN star out of the Oval Office after Acosta badgered the president with racially charged questions. Last month, Acosta was forced to do damage control after he was accused of taking personal shots at Trump supporters, saying “their elevator might not hit all floors.” He defended his comments, claiming that his words were “twisted by some outlets.” Trump has famously dubbed CNN “fake news” and pointed directly at Acosta, calling him by the disparaging moniker in the past. Last December, Acosta was shut down by Press Secretary Sarah Sanders when he tried to hijack a press briefing and he has also gotten into combative arguments with other members of the administration including former Press Secretary Sean Spicer, Management and Budget Director Mick Mulvaney and Senior Policy Adviser Stephen Miller. From Madonna to Robert De Niro, how liberal stars often get a pass on outrageous behavior By Brian Flood | Fox News The celebration this week of comedienne Samantha Bee, who received a prestigious award Thursday night despite calling Ivanka Trump a “feckless c—” the previous evening, has rankled conservatives and even some moderates, who say that liberal comedians and celebrities are consistently getting a pass for outrageous behavior that would ruin those of a less liberal persuasion. This comes during a wild week in which ABC swiftly canceled “Roseanne,” its first major hit in years, after its Trump-supporting star Roseanne Barr made a racist and offensive comment on Twitter about former President Obama’s confidante and adviser, Valerie Jarrett. As for Samantha Bee, despite her slur against Ivanka, and despite President Trump calling for her to be fired Friday morning, she appears to be gliding onward in her career, only losing a few advertisers. Conservatives have long pointed to what they say is a double standard in entertainment regarding who can get away with using offensive rhetoric. It’s an open question, they say, if a liberal making a racist remark as offensive as Barr’s would have suffered the same repercussions. “You can say anything you want without consequence if you are a leftist…never Trumper,” conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh said on Thursday.
Stephen Colbert was accused of making a homophobic joke when he said about Trump that "the only thing your mouth is good for is being Vladimir Putin's c— holster." A #FireColbert hashtag briefly trended, but he was not punished and remains a top-rated late night comedian. Bill Maher once joked that President Trump was part orangutan, Jimmy Kimmel has made fun of first lady Melania Trump’s accent and Chelsea Handler has questioned Lindsey Graham’s sexuality while sending an anti-Trump tweet almost every day. None of them have faced any consequences. Anthony Atamanuik, Trevor Noah, Jon Stewart, Jimmy Kimmel, Alec Baldwin, Seth Meyers, John Oliver and the entire cast of “Saturday Night Live” have been lauded and given awards for their Trump mockery, which is often extremely personal and offensive. Showtime's "Our Cartoon President" is an entire animated series dedicated to making fun of President Trump. They are all liberal icons. Comedian Billy Eichner received over 40,000 likes for tweeting that Bee was being “generous” for calling Ivanka a “c---.” Amy Schumer once called Trump an “orange, sexual assaulting, fake-college-starting monster," and Margaret Cho compared him to “no ply toilet paper,” referring to him as “trash.”
Madonna said back in January 2017 that she thought “an awful lot about blowing up the White House,” but brushed it off as a “metaphor” and avoided any consequences. Actress Sally Field managed to make Bee’s comment seem tame when she tweeted that it was wrong to call the first daughter a “c----,” because that would mean she is “powerful, beautiful, nurturing and honest.” Keith Olbermann and Jemele Hill have called the president a “Nazi,” and “white supremacist,” but are both still gainfully employed by Disney’s ESPN. Richard Gere compared Trump to Mussolini, George Takei called Trump a “cancer,” Kate Walsh called him an “illiterate, bigoted, misogynistic, racist, rapist” and Cher compared Trump to Hitler and suggested we should “throw him in a volcano.” Rapper Mac Miller called Trump an “egomaniacal attention-thirsty psychopathic power-hungry delusional waste of skin and bones.” Chrissy Teigen has been trolling Trump on Twitter for years. Actress Olivia Wilde — whose mother is running for Congress as a Democrat in Virginia — called Trump a “dishonest pig,” Don Cheadle called him a “racist, abusive coward,” Lin-Manuel Miranda said Trump is “going straight to hell” and Robert De Niro went above and beyond most of his Hollywood peers. “He’s so blatantly stupid. He’s a punk, he’s a dog, he’s a pig, he’s a con, a bully, a bulls—t artist, a mutt who doesn’t know what he’s talking about… I’d like to punch him in the face,” De Niro said while filming what was supposed to be a non-partisan video encouraging people to vote. Eminem even got away with mocking Trump supporters who are also fans of his music when he famously rapped, “Any fan of mine who’s a supporter of his, I’m drawing in the sand a line. You’re either for or against, and if you can’t decide who you like more and you’re split on who you should stand beside, I’ll do it for it for you with this. F— you.” One of the only liberal celebrities to suffer serious consequences is Kathy Griffin, who infamously held up a fake severed head of President Trump, displaying it the way ISIS members often present decapitated heads of their victims. Griffin initially apologized for the photo but later retracted the apology and has since spent most of her time criticizing the administration on Twitter. She also said that after initial setbacks, her business as a comedienne is booming. As for Roseanne, she tweeted Thursday night about her desperate efforts to save her show after her offensive comments, begging ABC execs to work for free and offering to do anything she could to make amends. According to Roseanne, her appeals to ABC boss Ben Sherwood have fallen on deaf ears. Sherwood, who was described by a network executive as “very ingratiating” but “also deadly,” scoffed at Barr and told her the tweet was “egregious and unforgivable,” according to the actress. |

Mainstream media calls Melania MIA, even though she is out and about By Brian Flood | Fox News CNN and other mainstream media outlets are painting first lady Melania Trump as “missing in action” despite being spotted by at least one reporter and being scheduled to appear at a White House event on Monday evening. News broke on Sunday night that the first lady will not join her husband at the G7 summit in Quebec later this week and there are "no plans" for her to travel to Singapore to meet with North Korea's leader later this month. This was used as the impetus by CNN to harp on her recent absence from the public eye following a mid-May kidney procedure. CNN’s “Reliable Sources” newsletter led with a giant graphic of a calendar, placing question marks on each date since Mrs. Trump was “last seen” on May 10. Beneath the graphic, the newsletter specifically stated that she is expected to attend an event on Monday to honor Gold Star families.
The Federalist contributor Erielle Davisdon chimed in, saying CNN is ‘inventing problems so that they can then report on it.” Earlier in the day, Stelter’s addressed the situation on-air and declared that we “need more reporting and less speculating,” before noting that liberals are at risk of falling into a “conspiracy theory trap” regarding the first lady. CNBC’s Eamon Javers tweeted back on May 30, “Not that this will deter the conspiracy theorists, but I saw the First Lady walking with her aides in the West Wing yesterday afternoon.”
"Go ahead and imagine how you'd feel if a different First Lady wasn't seen in public for 3+ weeks," Stelter wrote. Pollster Frank Luntz asked, “If NBC reporters can see her in the West Wing, is it not public? They weren’t sneaking around with snake cameras through air vents.” Mrs. Trump – a notoriously private person – stayed behind Friday when President Trump and several family members went to the Camp David retreat for the weekend. While she hasn't made a public appearance since before her five-day hospital stay for treatment of a kidney condition, she has been seen around the White House.
“I see the media is working overtime speculating where I am & what I'm doing,” Mrs. Trump tweeted. “Rest assured, I'm here at the @WhiteHouse w my family, feeling great, & working hard on behalf of children & the American people!” CNN reporters aren’t the only ones questioning the first lady’s whereabouts. NBC News published a story headlined, “Why Melania Trump's vanishing act matters,” with a subhead “The disappearance of a first lady means that, for now, the White House is playing without a full roster.” The liberal, anti-Trump corners of the Internet are filled with conspiracy theories ranging from a health issue to speculation of domestic violence. Rolling Stone senior writer Jamil Smith wrote, “I wish that I didn’t suspect that the prolonged, poorly explained public absence of Melania Trump could be about concealing abuse. I wish that it was a ludicrous prospect.” ABC News’ “The View” spent a segment on Monday speculating that her kidney procedure was worse than reported before co-host Whoopi Goldberg declared, “She’s fine. Sometimes people just don’t want to be out in the public.” “Whatever you think of Melania, her disappearance became a major Donald Trump scandal when he and his folks began lying about it. So yes it’s newsworthy. Don’t even try to tell us otherwise,” political blogger Bill Palmer wrote. Actress Bette Midler tweeted that it’s “Ominous” she hasn’t been seen in public before joking that maybe she just has a bad haircut. “Maybe she just drunk-cut her own bangs and doesn’t want to upset her fans,” Midler wrote. “I’ve done that plenty of times!” Others took to social media to defend Mrs. Trump and mock the concerned liberal pundits.
Free Beacon reporter Alex Griswold wrote, “If you think there will be any pleasing the conspiracy theorists, recall that Melania once appeared in front of cameras, in public, and Resistance Twitter insisted it was a body double.” Independent Journal Review reporter Caleb Hull joked, “It’s only a matter of time before the Obama bros start sharing a photoshopped picture of Melania in a cage at the border and claiming ICE deported her which is why she hasn’t been seen.” While Mrs. Trump is catching flak for skipping upcoming events, Michelle Obama once said it was “very rare” for her to travel abroad during the Obama administration. |

Trump Derangement Syndrome to the extreme. Imagine someone wanting the country to go into a recession just because they hate Trump. Just one effect of a recession is that suicides increase.
U.S. Bill Maher Begs for a Recession to Get Rid of Donald Trump By Alexandra Hutzler On 6/9/18 at 11:20 AM
Maher, along with his panel, discussed the success of the Trump administration’s growing economy, but remained skeptical about how long the prosperity will last. “I feel like the bottom has to fall out at some point, and by the way, I’m hoping for it because I think one way you get rid of Trump is a crashing economy,” Maher said during the June 8 show. “So please, bring on the recession. Sorry if that hurts people but it’s either root for a recession, or you lose your democracy.” John Heilemann, a journalist for NBC and host of Showtime’s political program “The Circus,” responded to Maher’s statement saying that “Trump is doing everything you can possibly do to screw up the economy.”
Maher’s comments quickly prompted response on social media. This message has been edited by BeWare on 06-11-2018 at 10:08 AM |
