We don't need to have mass shootings in Chicago.

I added ALL of the dead listed in your post and it came to 246. In 2017 alone, and JUST IN CHICAGO, there were 3,561 shootings of which 625 died. Well over double of the total of all of the mass shootings you listed. Just one city, yes, a single city.

THIS YEAR ALONE there were 288 people shot of which 67 died, and yes again...this was all in just Chicago. Some of the strictest gun laws in the country.

Just imagine how high the gun homicide count would be without those laws in place!!! <sarcasm>

Although there are way more shooting deaths, the media doesn't give a chit about those - only the mass shootings since it can be way more sensationalized for ratings purposes. It gets way more attention to run story after story about a single event where a bunch of people die than when you run many stories about an individual that dies. That scenario also has the numbing effect on the public when they see repeated stories of another person shot in Chicago. Which takes us back to a sad and pathetic truth "Crying white mothers are ratings gold to you and many in the legacy media in the back (of the room)."

The Fox News host took umbrage with the president over what he described as a “betrayal” of his promises on the campaign trail, after the president said he would take people’s guns away.

“I like taking guns away early," Trump said during a White House meeting on Wednesday. "Take the guns first, go through due process second,” he added, in comments that have angered the NRA and Carlson.

“Now, I mean, how honest do you want to be?” Carlson said in response to Trump’s comments.

“Imagine if Barack Obama had said that? Just ignore due process and confiscating guns? Obama would have been denounced as a dictator,” Tucker said, adding: “We would have denounced him first, trust me. Congress would be talking impeachment. Some would be muttering secession.”

But with his latest comments on due process, the president has prompted claims of hypocrisy, given that he called for due process just weeks ago when discussing the departure of two staffers accused of domestic abuse.

““Peoples lives are being shattered and destroyed by a mere allegation. Some are true and some are false. Some are old and some are new,” Trump tweeted. “There is no recovery for someone falsely accused - life and career are gone. Is there no such thing any longer as Due Process?”
