Allowing a "Blue Lives Matter" flag to fly would open the door to every other person or group wanting to fly their flag and subsequently the homeowners association would be powerless to do anything about it.....

What if the Association allowed THAT flag to fly and then were confronted with someone wanting to fly a "Black Lives Matter" banner?.......And then the gays demanded their "GAY RIGHTS MATTER" flag be flown? .....And then another group.....etc, etc, etc...

See what I mean?.....The association did the only thing they could....

BTW....The guy making the complaint is the one that said that he was TOLD it was "racist".....If, indeed, he was told that, they were probably referring to the point I just made....Not that anything about the FLAG itself was racist....JEEZE!

Imagine if the NAACP came into the neighborhood and wanted to fly the "Black Lives Matter" flag and were subsequently refused.....Do you think THAT would open a "racist" can of worms??????...Damn right it would!

The guy who went to the media needs to sit down and shut up IMO.

She has flown this particular Flag for Several Years and it has never been a problem until recently.

The covenants do state only American and Military Flags can be displayed / flown in the community.

However regardless of the covenants, many other types of flags are displayed / flown in the community.what if someone moves into the community that has a problem with the US Military. Will people be forced to remove their Military Flags? What if someone has a problem with the US. Will the US Flags have to come down as well. Where does it stop? I understand there are rules but it seems that they are being selective enforced everywhere you turn these days.

Sounds like selective enforcement to me, and likely just because one person complained.

Being a police office (blue lives) is not a race. Police officers are all races, colors and creeds. I imagine some are even gay. The only reason someone would have a problem with this flag is that they hate police officers.

Since the community allows Military Flags, what if someone moves into the community that has a problem with the US Military. Will people be forced to remove their Military Flags? What if someone has a problem with the US. Will the US Flags have to come down as well. Where does it stop? I understand there are rules but it seems that they are being selective enforced everywhere you turn these days.
