Yes interesting - sounds so easy !!!

2 speed transmission with 3.06 rear end ?? Mendeola transaxle would fit better.

I would love to have a "regular" tranny and rear end....if only a 5 speed or 6 speed manual would work.....

A 2 speed powerglide with powerband of a Hellcat night just be an awesome thing!

I was always in the more gears the better camp until learned a bit about it depends on the powerband of the engine. One speed snow mobiles drag racing on asphalt showed me it really is about the combination of all the powertrain parts together that matter

Although snowmobiles have a single speed transmission, they don't really have a 'single speed' transmission. They use a pulley-based CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission)...which in effect is a infinite-speed transmission. Kinda the best of all worlds.
