The prowler always gets lots of attention and comments, but towing this trailer takes it to a whole new level! Some of the comments have been hilarious, and it definitely grabs attention. I installed the trailer hitch myself, and made the trailer from ground up including custom tail lights (which were a pain!). I used stub torsion axles, and decided to go with the Torque Thrust wheels since they most closely matched the original stock wheels. The trailer tows great!

That looks much too nice to use as a trailer. I wouldn't want to get it dirty. Fabulous job. Now you need a lifelike mannequin to put in it. lol |

Thanks everyone for the kind and funny replies! The lid actually has a stitched pair of hands and fabric on the underside of the lid. I removed the “mattress” (yes they literally have a moveable mattress frame that can raise and lower) just for more room. A girl working at Dutch Brothers (coffee stand here on West Coast) asked, “Is there a body in there?” I sort of laughed a little and said, “Oh no...I dropped it off last night.” Her face was priceless! Yes, endless possibilities for Halloween. |

Excellent work! Interesting selection for a trailer. to say the least. Is there a place to put a license plate? Any type of suspension or just a solid ride on the axle? |

No place for a plate, but if I needed one I could make a simple bracket to hang under the rear of the trailer. The car’s plate is 9-LYVS (like a cat)...but pretty fitting for the casket also! Yes, I purchased some stub torsion axles for independent suspension on each wheel. I need to probably throw some weight (dead weight of course) in the trailer for it to be a little heavier since it can bounce around a little when completely empty. |
