Just throwing this out there. Anyone have a pair of revised ball joints they want to part with? Heading west in two weeks and would prefer to have the new design joints. Dealership just confirmed what I told them last Friday - no inventory to be had anywhere. They are trying to get approval to replace the lower A arms as appparently they are available in the system. Sounds ike Chrysler is being stingy. The 99 only has 22,000 miles on it, so I'm not overly concerned as the failure rate sounds low. In most cases the mileage was on the higher side. Based on discussions, I'm not sure the replacements are any better than the originals anyway. Looking forward to the 10,000 mile journey...... |

BTW - if something bad does happen, make sure my wife and son find a good lawyer to take on Chrysler for not holding up there end of the recall. I figure my daughter and I should be worth at least 30 million. |

Seriously, you think Amanda is worth 29 7/8 million? lol I can lend you a lower mileage Prowler. I thought the lower A-arms were out of stock, also. |

Thanks to this great site and its awesome members I was able to locate a pair of recall ball joints. John Collins' detailed photos of the replacement process helped me immensely. Now we should be able to thoroughly enjoy our "most excellent adventure". |

From past experiences,,,I can tell everyone that Steve's Prowler will draw big crowds whenever it comes out of the trailer box.... When that car was new and in Arizona originally,,,,it always drew a boatload of spectators, great comments, and hundreds of pictures taken of it. Steve....it you charge $1.00 for every picture taken,,,you can buy Monahan's lunch and dinner when you see him next.. Maybe just buy Mills breakfast only Have a great and SAFE trip!!
