quote: I would venture to guess that there is likely a high end paint shop in most larger cities and towns throughout the country capable of doing this type of work. Go to a local cruise in and look at the cars with custom paint, then inquire with the vehicle's owner (car, truck, or bike) as to where they had the work done, and IF they would recommend them or not. My guess is that you may be able to find a couple of places that could do the job. I would also suggest that you find a used intake off of a compatible vehicle in the local junk yard then swap it with the one currently on your car once it is done. This will reduce down time for the car as well as give you the option to return it to stock if you so choose. Here is another example that happens to be from my Prowler. The custom work was done for the first owner when the car was in Texas.

A suggestion if you don't want your car to not be available to drive while you are getting the plenum painted would be to buy a plenum from a '99 and newer 3.5 engine in an Intrepid or 300C from a junk yard and have that one sanded and painted, keeping your factory plenum in case you want to go back to stock or sell the painted one if you get rid of the Prowler in the future. |

I had mine sanded down smooth, primed and painted before I took it to the local air brush artist for the graphics to be applied. Then it was clear coated. Air brush by Happenin Cats Airbrush Kennesaw GA This message has been edited by BeWare on 04-06-2018 at 11:34 AM |

quote: I did run into a different plenum once. The part number is stamped on the underside. If you go the junkyard route just check the number. I have one here at home that has no EGR openings on the rear of the plenum. |
