Finally got a chance to see how my new windsuppressor works at speeds over 65 mph today. I have to say I was completely amazed at how it worked. At 70 mph with both door windows up, the harsh buffeting we have been accustomed to was almost nonexistent. We could hear the radio for a change and actually carry on a conversation without having to yell at each other. I kind of felt like we were sitting in the “eye of the storm” it was so calm. Another pleasant surprise was that we could actually feel the AC which we turned on after the outside temp surpassed 90 degrees. Usually I have to pull over and put the top up to keep to keep my girl happy. Today she was happy all the way home. I’ve read a lot of post here on the forum singing the praises of the windsuppressor and I always had my doubts but I’m so happy to say that now I’m a believer. Thanks Ray for making such a quality product and thank you Robin for talking him into making one more batch for us. As far as functionality, this may be the best money I’ve spent on an aftermarket product. Jer |

I haven't taken mine on the freeway since my install, but now I am looking forward to trying. No 90 degree days here. My girl will be going into hibernation soon. |

I bought a windsupressr for the Prowler right after I bought it nearly 4 years ago. I love the way it keeps the wind out of the cabin and it looks very cool! by the way, TucsonJer, I cannot see your pictures, some error about "Photobucket"? |

Here is mine. Not sure why so many people have trouble posting photos. I typed this, resized the photos, and attached them, all from my Samsung Galaxy smartphone. When I viewed Jerry's pictures from his photobucket link, I can see where his appears to be slightly higher than mine based on how much of the brackets are visible above the deck lid when viewing from behind. I had to position mine as low as it would possibly go to clear the window glass when the top is up, otherwise the wind suppressor tends to bang into the glass when driving over rough roads (which are plentiful here in Michigan). Thanks for posting your pictures Pat. When I posted my pictures they were there. I actually saw them. Later in the evening I got an email from photobucket telling me to update my account. I just deleted it, so apparently they took issue with that and now the pictures I posted are no longer there. Guess I’d better update my account. I wonder how much that’ll cost me? Lol. Jer |

Just went into photobucket to upgrade my account... they want $400 a year for 3rd party hosting. Guess I won’t be posting anymore pictures until I find a new source. Jer |

Just missed out on the last order Richard. Ray needs at least 10 to start and order. |

Sorry no pictures. Mine looks a lot like the one on the yellow prowler, only red. Love the way it glows red at night...so cool. Anyway, I jumped right on ordering mine in 2014. Perhaps if you start a thread asking the maker to set of an new order, you can get 10 going. I would do this as a new thread, right robin? |

Yes that would be one way. I suggest he call the shop just maybe they made a few extra's. I should have order 5 extra and kept them cause I knew this would happen... |

quote: Well after nearly 5 years of use and abuse (boot cover use) I managed to tear the wire out of the LED strip that makes the SupressR glow. I contacted the folks that made this for me and they are sending me a replacement strip...at no charge. What a cool product and great customer service! I still highly recommend this mod. |

Ray, the owner, is retired but I talked to him about a wiring problem a couple of months ago. The wiring problem had absolutely nothing to do with the WindsuppreSSR. The light in it wasn't coming on, along with several other issues. Ray was very helpful. I don't think any new ones will ever be available. I highly recommend them, also. |

The problem was one I created. By putting the boots on and off, I ripped the wire off of the LED strip. My bad. |

Not sure how many of us are interested in one, and if we'd have enough people to make 10. BUT.... I'm interested for sure. |

As stated above, Ray is retired so I seriously doubt they will ever be produced again. That said, someone else could step up to the plate and make a close. |

Since Ray is retired, would he be willing to disclose or sell his designs? I may have found someone, it's of my customers that make custom products. I would like to see what it would cost to get them to produce one, as well as how nice it would turn out. This way we all would have an opportunity to get one or fix the ones we have if needed. |

The wind suppressor is on my top 5 things that I could not do without. Since Ray used my car as the test mule for his design and trouble shooting before going into producing many years back. I had to hunt around for a used one this past fall to buy one for my recent rat rod project on another Prowler. It would be great if someone did pick up the rights and design to make others for newer members in our group |

The wind suppressor in my opinion works great if you under 6ft tall. Me being 6'4 it doesn't work for me. I bought it several years ago and like the way it looks but my head being above the headrest and the windsuppressor it does not block any of the wind. |
