It would seem very strange for the Plymouth factory to repaint an already finished purple prowler over in yellow ? However, who. knows? I'll look for any sign that may show if that was possibly done ? I'll see if I can post a picture of this car, as the pin stripping is "very unusual" and I have yet to see an actual photo done of this , that I could say, there it is! The pinstripeing does. appear to be factory done to.me...........Thanks |

The factory never actually did the pin stripping. It's hard to believe know one on here has ever heard of or seen this rare Prowler. Keep checking for more info, you will figure it out. |

I agree with that statement , but I'm running out of options.........unless I can locate an old advertisement, showing actual photos of this car..........I'm thinking CJ may have a photo of it in her collection, though when I was out to her place to view her collection I didn't have or know about this car.......... |

The jury is still out on this, I need to have CJ check if she has a photo in her museum, of a yellow with this pins striping on it...... |

What about the purple repainted as yellow theory? What is the paint code on the MDH sticker? Yellow or Purple? What if the odd pin stripes were added (presumably by someone other than Dr Dru) some time after delivery (and photography)? Just because you can't find an early yellow with pin stripes doesn't mean it can't be the early photo car you describe. |

quote: As a former new car dealer (including Chry-Ply) and being very interested in getting my '99 yellow Prowler ASAP, I don't recall any cars being sent around to dealerships as advertising. I think that the first yellow Prowlers would be the 21 pilot cars which probably included the cars used for the 1998 Auto shows around the country...probably with no serial #s. |

MDS sticker says, ( Paint PY3 ) car was picked up from the factory, so exactly who did the pin striping I don't know,........ I just believe it came from the factory with that pin striping & as a Public Relation's vehicle......that I know for sure! I cannot find any signs that this car was any other color, than Yellow!
