It's been a busy week since we said goodbye to all that attended the Anniversary event. Lots of catching up on things and struggling with the ligament strain, but I'm much better now!!! I would like to thank all of the owners who attended the Prowler 20th Anniversary Reunion 2017 event. Many of you came from short distances and from long distances and I hope that in either case, it was worth the trip! This was a labor of love for me...I wanted the 20th Anniversary of Prowler to be a special celebration for all of the owners. I've been reading the posts and I am very pleased that all of you had such a great time. It made seven long months of work well worth it!! Thank you, also, for all the kind words and thoughts that you have posted to me and Bob. There are so many memories that were made this weekend. I don't even know where to begin and I hope you all feel the same way. Everything we did was so much fun and the time we got to spend together just talking with old friends and meeting the new friends......especially at the Lake/Cottage was awesome. I hope you enjoyed the Prowler collection, too!
I especially want to thank Craig Love, Chris Theodore (was Craig's boss), James Finck and Pete Hollinshead for attending the CEMA Car Show on Saturday. Craig was the head engineer on Team Prowler. Also, for all the Team Prowler members who also attended. It was a chance for the Team Prowler members to have a reunion, to meet the owners and to see what the owners have done to their Prowlers. I think they were amazed...the Prowlers were like a blank canvas and each one reflects the personality and vision of the owners. They are a wonderful group of people and I am thankful that they were there to share this opportunity with us. Thank you to all the Team Prowler members that had the patience to sign my deck lid, Prowler books and posters for the owners. I have some other special Thank You's........ To my husband Bob......thanks for all the support and understanding throughout the planning and execution of this event. I'd have never made it without you! There are too many things to mention that you helped me with......but you know what they were. For all the dinners you bought because I didn't have time to cook...for waking me up all the times you found me asleep at my desk at 3 or 4 in the morning and making me go to bed. For helping the owners and for just being you!! To one of my best friends...Pam Gulyas (aka AnonyMoose) Pam copied all the paperwork for the Event Booklets even though she was not able to make it to the event. Also for counting the moral support and encouragement and for pushing me to get things done even when I was dead tired! You are a true and valued friend. WildBill........what can I say! Your help was invaluable. Thank you for working with me on the design of the awesome 20th Anniversary logo which was used on the Tee-shirts, lapel pins, the CD and the Event Booklet. For helping me assemble the info booklets, stuff the registration bags and all the yard work!! Thanks for being such a great friend! Thank you to Joe DeRosa and Melinda for getting up at the crack of down and coming early to the Cottage to help put up the tables, tablecloths, chairs, etc. for the opening day of the event. Thanks to all of you who helped pick up around the cottage and made our job easier. You all are great Thank you to Larry Mayes for blocking, for arranging the shuttle bus for the Ladies and anything else you did that I didn't see!! Again, thank you to all of you who attended...without you there would not have been an event. I'm glad you were here to celebrate the Prowler 20th Anniversary with me, Hope to see all of you at another Prowler event down the road!!! CJ we appreciate all you, Bob & Bill did to make the 20th Anniversary such a great event Get some rest and back to as normal as possible Loved your collection and the more laid back days One thing I noticed, people seem to go to bed earlier, slower when getting out of the cars and enjoyed sitting around talking to one another Thank You for all your hard work & effort to make it a fantastic event! |

Thanks CJ, a spectacular event. While it was a fair distance to travel, it is nothing in comparison to the time and energy you devoted to make it a memorable event for everyone. I missed the 10th because I didn't know of the POA at the time, but I didn't want to miss the 20th. Sugar told me in the past you put on a great event, so I knew it would be great. You did not disappoint. Your collection is fabulous. Thanks again for all you and Bob did. |

CJ, Just owning a Prowler means nothing if you don't have friends and experiences to enjoy with it. And thanks to you and Bob, you've made it become so much more than just a car. It was a week I will never forget, and I am still in awe of it all. And thank you again so much for the cake for my 50th birthday! What a week to have my birthday! So I guess there is only one more thing I can say... TWEN-TEE-FIVE!! TWEN-TEE-FIVE!! TWEN-TEE-FIVE!! Sign me up in 2022 to help out in any way I can!! Linda and I would like to add our huge thanks and utmost appreciation to CJ for hosting the event and to Bob, WildBill, Wildcat and all others who contributed their time and efforts to this event. I would also like to thank all the members of Team Prowler who signed our car and even more so for picking our car to stand behind for their group picture. That made an unforgettable and amazing event even more so. |

I've promised not to sign up for anymore events. CJ has done about 20 events over the years. It's time for others to step up and plan future events. A 25th anniversary event sounds great. Who is going to step up and organize it? How about a big event next year? Again, who is going to step up? Yes, they're fun to attend but gratifying to plan and execute. |

We made the 10th and the 15th in Vegas and many others the last 12 years. Really bummed we had to miss this one. We helped with the Deep Creek event in Md., definitely a lot of work. CJ and Bob have done they share for sure. Thanks Again. |

I wasn't totally serious about CJ doing the 25th, but I would like to help with any other events coming up. I agree CJ needs a break. I'm not retired yet and won't be for a while, so I couldn't do it myself. But as I said the car by itself is not the only reason to have one, it's to meet others with a similar interest. CJ, hope you can catch up on your rest this summer. This message has been edited by koolkty on 06-18-2017 at 03:52 PM |

quote: Being able to delegate and work as a team or committee is the way to go ... roughly three of us organized and pulled off the Dells event some years back - VERY WELL Attended - each taking on different aspects of the function. That way one person does't feel overwhelmed or end up in the hospital when everyone has left and the lights are turned out. Think maybe the Vegas event was handled similarly, and perhaps the Mile High gang did it this way too? It sure is VERY gratifying to see everyone enjoying the fruits of your planning and execution, but folks just don't realize ALL that is involved until they take on the task themselves ... which is why a committee or team is sure a good way to go! |

MAN I can't say enough THANK YOU's to all who made this event a great success!! Kelly and I had an awesome time an met some great people! I'm in the process of having all of the videos and photos made into a single movie. when its complete I'll need some help posting because I suck at posting pictures and videos on forums! But I'm sure that someone will help. We were able to take our time getting home and stopped to see family in Grand Rapids, MI. It was great to visit with them and then had dinner in Chicago with a customer, then drove back to Minnesota on Tuesday. The trip went great with no trouble. Can't wait to see everyone again! |
