This site is the best asset for any Prowler owner. In terms of pure information and assistance, it's hands down the best site on the net for a particular car owner group. I don't make an annual contribution for the stars. I do it because it helps fellow Prowler owners. POA is a virtual club that reaches Prowler owners all over the world. It doesn't have officers and doesn't charge dues. The very least that I can do is help offset the expenses. Thank you for posting the facts. Nothing has been held back. There are ongoing costs in providing a forum for all Prowler owners along with storing and make all of this information and photos available to anyone. Mike never asked for any donations. Some members suggested voluntary donations which Mike has used to offset costs. The stars under a posters name were a way of identifying fellow members that have helped offset those costs along the way. The site is still free to everyone. Despite all of the ups and downs on the forums, everything is still available to anyone that chooses to look or needs help with their Prowler. This plea is not pointed at anyone. It is a gentle reminder of what we have and the reality of what it takes to support it on an ongoing basis. Please support YOUR site. |

Just sent mine in. I just can't believe how little the total contribution to POA has been this year. Unbelievable. Over a thousand members, and less than 3 thousand contributed !!!!! That averages out to $3 a member.... or to put it another way, it seems that there are few contributors and a lot of non contributors. I don't understand how some members can continue to participate year after year without feeling the need to contribute something towards the upkeep. To be fair I'm always willing to listen, so perhaps someone who is opposed to contributing can help me understand..... |

Would it help to post the actual cost of maintaining the site and a tally from time to time (perhaps quarterly) of how much has been contributed? Perhaps it would spur more donations if we knew what the goal was? Just a thought... |
