The proto type "easy open deck lid" is done. I have been thinking about this for a few years and finally decided to do it. A lot more convenient to open the lid with the top up and a must have if you have a hard top. Works really well. Should have been built this way from the factory.

The availability for purchase will depend on how much interest there is.

Is there sufficient room on the larger lid to bolt on the spoiler, with similar spacing as on original trunk lid?

I moved the stop light back a little less then one inch. It looks like the spoiler would fit the new lid but the front wrap around ends of the spoiler will be hanging over the front panel a bit and of course you couldn't bolt it on there.

Its a great mod for even just the convertible ... don't have to unlatch the top now and fold it back to access stuff in the trunk.

Don't know if this suggestion helps or not ... but those that are interested, what might you be willing to pay for such a mod, assuming primed and ready for paint, plus freight of course??

It will take some time to research the vendors and parts suppliers to come up with a tentative price for the package. Especially not having any idea of any volume which has a big influence on the price.

From what I can tell from the picture, the problem I would have is with my TGF Spoiler bolted on to my deck lid now. It would require a lot of work to switch over.

I don't see a big problem...what am I missing?
As Tom mentioned, the ends would be hanging ('floating') over the smaller panel, which does not appear to be a problem.

Can it?

If so, should both deck lid sections be open to accomplish that, or just the smaller one?
