Hello All, I am not YET a Prowler owner, but I was hoping I could get just a little help from this community. Here is my dilemma. I am getting married on Oct 15 (yes, this month) and I ended up having my initial "ride" flake out on me (company seemed to "go away") and took off. I am blessed with a very loving fiance, but I really want her to feel that extra special on our day. Along with her being very loving, I was lucky enough to get a girl with excellent taste in cars. Her dream car is a Prowler. I even have a pic of her sitting in one when she was in HS. I was curious if there was anyone in this community that lives in CO (Colorado Springs to be exact) that would be willing to trade their car for a few hours in exchange for what ever they feel would be fair compensation. I would just love to knock her socks off with that after the ceremony and drive her to the reception (4 miles away). Please feel free to contact me ASAP @ 719-360-6065 or by email at Chad@coolzip.us Like I said, I will be happy to compensate. If no one is interested, please guide me to where they might rent one for a day (if such a place even exists). I appreciate it VERY MUCH! PS- If you are in Denver and would like to offer but are unwilling to drive it, I will be happy to flat bed tow it if needed! I AM THAT DESPERATE! |

LOL Wish you luck in your quest. I let my nephew use my Prowler to drive to the reception a couple years ago. Brides wedding dress a little too full to fit in the seat very well. Top down. Seat cold. Dress lifted!! Look of "Surprise" as "warm" derrier hit "cold' seat. She did enjoy the ride tho. Hope you and your bride have a wonderful wedding and a long and happy marriage. Bill |

Chad - If you are only 19 or so, and want to 'borrow' someone's Prowler,,,,I'd have a Plan B in place, jmo. On the other hand, good luck. I checked out the exotic rental car places in Colo Sprgs for a Prowler rental,,,,no luck. Take the bride to Vegas for the honeymoon,,,,you can rent one there. |

If I still lived in CO, I sure would help. What a great surprise that would be. If you can't find an owner there that can help, I do know that at one time there was a place that rented Prowlers. We held an event there a few years ago, and we had two rented Prowlers there for some owners who had to fly in rather than drive. Maybe Mike and Judy or Pauley can remember where they rented them??? Good Luck and congratulations on your upcoming wedding. |

To Everyone, I certainly appreciate the warm responses! Just cause I feel it necessary at this point to tell, I am 26 not 19. If I was 19, I would not trust me with that kinda machine. Other than that, I suppose I am just hoping someone in CO sees this! One thing I noticed right off the bat, is that this community is very open and kind. Honestly, I had no idea what to expect, but I gotta say, its pretty cool of you guys and gals to even acknowledge my request. Many thanks, even if it does not work out. Best, |

Hi there. I do know of 3 Prowler owners in the Colo. Springs area. The guy who has contact with them is Len Schrad. He has a perfect stock 97 purple and do not think he would let you borrow his, but give him a call and he can check with the other owners for you (719)-330-7991 |

Im in XTC: The Viper will never be driven by anyone but me or the new owner someday. I worked many years to buy my first one it was a 1994 black R/T 10 and gave big hard earned cash dollars only to cut a rear tire out at the Old Stapleton Airport runway that was made into a test track. Had a friend that snuck me in, and the car came around a sharp turn and I ran the noise right down the concrete guard wall and totaled it, 3 mo. old. Insurance is no good when you are tracking the car. Still remember my friend saying "we got to get this car out of here or he was going to be in big trouble" If you have never driven a Viper before the torque and power is something unbelievable and even with a non cut tire they can still get away from you. Parted the car out and saved more money up and bought the red 1994 that I now have and will never do that again. Most of your Vipers that get wrecked are done so in the first few months of 1 time ownership or test drives. Let him use the prowler, I said big If... Viper never.... I have made a lot of friends with the Prowler and this could be 2 new ones.. He has 24 hours to post that old picture if he has it. Her dream getting married in it, my dream owning it. My dream has come true, what say you.... |

LoL that's great good story sorry to hear about wiping out in the viper but you remember what your mama said... good action ..good reaction... bad action..and so on Lets see what this guy does as you know he has to make up his mind before he gives the idea to the new bride to be as we all know she will make a change or two LOL |

Wow, what awesome responses. I will be glad to provide the pic in fact I had to trick her into letting me see it/ scan it. I will send you my web address and you can view it there as I would rather not suck the forums bandwidth. I will try to give the most info I can. However be warned, I have nothing to hide so you will get exactly what you asked for. #1 Have you ever served in the U.S.A. service? No, however I am going into the reserves next year to become a Nurse. #2 Do you have a valid Colo. Driver Lic.? Yes #3 Are you a U.S. Born citizen? Yes. #4 Do you have full coverage insurance and with what company? Yes, with statefarm. #5 Have you ever been married before? No, and after this, I don't want to get married ever again. #6 How old is your wife to be? 26 #7 Do you have any children if so what are there names and ages? No. #8 Where do you work and how long have you been there? #9 Have you ever been convicted of a felony? NO #10 Where are you getting married at? Fox Run Regional Park #11 Were is the party afterwards? Kings Deer Golf Course (to which you are most welcome to join) #12 What streets will you be driving on? Rollercoaster Road is the ONLY road I will be on. There is, and I cringe as I say this, a small area of which is not paved, however, it is packed very well. I would invite you to check it out yourself, but I am afraid I already blew the whole thing. Honesty is what yoou want, so this is what you get. #13 How long have you lived at your current address? I just purchased my home @ EDITED I actually did lie earlier, I was incorrect about the Prowler in HS. It was her freshman year in College (CSU) and she was on an aircraft carrier during a bowl game (she was in the Marching Band. I will post the photo on my site. But shoot, I may as well do it here also. I appreciate your offer. As for the other gentleman, I don't think I can pay for your nose cone, as the wedding itself will have me pretty well spent. Unless you accept payments, I am afraid, I cannot accept your offer. The PIC is below. Many Thanks to all. |

I guess its a good story, at least I'm alive to tell it. Remember what your mama said, good action good reaction. bad action so on... Mama didn't tell me or I wasn't paying attention. But I did learn a lesson from this. Check out the cars that you are buying closely for damage, because a body shop in Texas bought this car from me with a clear title and said they were going to part it out in to a 1970 Dodge Challenger then repaired the front end and frame then sold it as a low mileage Viper.... which it was. Saw the car for sale and called them on it. To late they sold it. |

I thought just for MORE proof of my identity, I would include my wedding website. I understand you love your babies very much, and I would certainly be as cautious as you all are being. I can appreciate all the hoops you would have me jump through, and I would hope to earn your trust and maybe even form a lasting friendship. When was the last time you could have used some extra help moving something, or taking care of something important. I am your guy. Oh, I am an Eagle Scout too. I hate to make this a sales pitch, but I suppose I need to sell myself to ya in order to be trusted with such a baby! So, you bring your questions. Cause I got nothin but answers. http://www.weddingchannel.com/wedding_websites/PersonalWebsite.action?view=home&o cc=203854178 Yes, I can prove I am an Eagle Scout. Bests, Edit: The pic was taken on the USS Lousiana in 1997. Just thought I would share that too. This message has been edited by Rolland19 on 10-05-2005 at 01:37 AM |

I think we have a winner here and a life time friend. I will check out your info and can't see from what you have posted that if the info is correct there no way I can, or will turn you down and will except your invite for a short stay at the party. Honesty is the best policy.. carful over the packed road. My E mail is jcollinshemi@yahoo.com send the rest of the info. to me there as you should not post vital info on a open site as I warned you about leaving it blank. Great job the 15th should be a go. and now you can be the Driver of the Black Pearl Prowler Congrats Chad.. John Collins friends for life..... |

Again, if I still lived in CO, I'd loan you one of my Prowlers. Great story on you and Barbara. Anyone that would go to these lengths for the person they love AND has three cats is okay in my book (and earns a ride in a Prowler (cat)). Congratulations on your forthcoming marriage and your educational pursuits! ------------------ Classic/Beautiful - I'm referring to the Cat of course! |
