Hello Everyone, I am a newer proud owner of a beautiful Orange Kat and I am concerned about what I can place in the truck without damaging the deck lid? For trip's and every day use.

Anything that will fit and still allow the deck lid to close properly. I've actually put the original Prowler duffle bag in the trunk (squished around) and placed other things around outside of the bag. You'd be surprised what will fit in there! You just have to be sure that nothing is in the way of the hinges (Larry Lord Hinge Protectors are great). Lots of shopping bags will fit too! |

dh - CJ is correct,,,a lot of junk, stuff, and crap will fit into the trunk space without damaging the trunk lid. Just be sure to keep items away from the bottom hinges and clearance for the lid shocks to fold in. You might want to invest about $30 into the Larry Lord hinges,,,they come highly recommended: |

You would be amazed what can fit behind the seats also if you pack carefully. For longer trips there is nothing like a Prowler trailer for the "cool" factor and extra storage. A Weekender from Real Rod will hold a couple of dufflebags also and There is a rack available that plugs into the trailer hitch. Have fun! |

Congrats on joining ranks of ORANGE owners. I've also put a lot of stuff (soft sided duffel) in the trunk. I agree with AC on the hinge protectors. In my humble opinion, the single most important thing you can do for the trunk area is get a pair of Larry Lords trunk protectors! |

Thanks..........JC, I found it in the Detroit News after the Woodward Cruise. I was drive my 67 GTO and saw this beautiful Orange Prowler around 13 & Woodward sitting in a gas station or shopping center. I told my wife if I could find a Orange Prowler I would buy it a New York Second. I looked in paper the next Monday and Bingo there it was, I bought it and I've been smiling ever since... |

My Prowler is the 1st vehicle I have ever seen where the luggage trailer ENHANCES the looks of it instead of detracting from the looks!! |

Welcome to the POA and congrats. The orange Prowler you saw at 13th & Woodward in the gas station was Tangled up in Blue's. That is not a stock color. He had a Gold cat repainted to that color. The stock orange is a great color, especially in the sunlight. Glad you found us. |

You can pack a lot of stuff if you put it in zip-lock bags and only put a few items in each bag. You can stuff them behind the seats, under the seats and in the crevices in trunk. The hinge protectors are a great idea. You don't want to spring the trunk hinges. |
