The sculpture in the circle in front of the Walter P. Chrysler Museum was designed and built by a local artist, Joseph W. Wesner. He was a designer/sculpture who preferred to work in metals. It is a 15' high bronze sculpture. Unfortunately, Mr. Wesner passed away in April of 2002 at the age of 46. The circle is perceived as a wheel or a large roll of steel, representing transportation, locomotion and technology. The circular rings protruding from the circle represent movement and visual rotation. The horizon base represents growth, development and knowledge.
