I just posted this auction on eBay, #7989827298 ( I don't know how to get the eBay auction number to show up on this page). Maybe it will prevent another Prowler owner from getting ripped off by the other grill that we all know about on eBay. Had to be careful on how I worded the add so as not to get shut down for copying. I paid about $8.50 with tax for this at Advance Auto Parts!

Good idea. I sent several e-mails to your "competitor" asking "technical questions" about his revolutionary new product, but got no responses. Maybe buyers will be able to read between the lines now.

Not much bidding action on my custom Prowler grill. If you members who are eBayer's go in and run this thing way the hell up, I will just forget the $,and give a positive feedback to the high bidder. That should really pi$$ off the Viper Store who wants $90.00 for the same thing!

Thanks guys, now we need about 20 more. If anyone can really use this roll (I did on my Prowler as you can see in the auction photo)the high bidder can have it for the postage ($4.95).

OK - I'm the current high bidder. I left the maximum amount low so someone else can still out bid me. I do NOT want the door edge guard - I still have about 15 or 20 feet left on a roll in the garage.

Thanks Marty, are you sure you don't want it, there would be enough to do the doors and maybe even the trunk-might start a whole new look!
As I said no one is of course obligated on this stuff, I'm just doing it so other unknowing new Prowler owners might not get suckered into that other Viper Store stuff! I don't care if it reaches $500.00, if the high bidder can use it,they can have it for the postage.

Allright, I'm one of those 'dummies' that ordered the
upgrade through the Viper Store. With all due respect I
have seen the add of silvrkat on e-bay as well.

Then what made me decide to go for the viperstores add.
The product from the Viperstore is removable and does not
affect the grill. The product as referred to in Silvrcats
add is permanent and glued on. It will most likely damage
the paint of the grill if you try to remove it later.
I didn't want to takt that risk.

Now......... the upgrade is still waiting for me in Chicago
for pickup on my next trip over and I can advise any further
as to quality and if the statements they make are true once
I have seen it and try to install. Keep you posted.

Kees

Kees, they are probably exactly the same thing. Lying and advertising go hand in hand. The door edge guard comes off without a problem to the paint. I have replaced a few pieces on the grill over the past few years.

Ed,

Thanks. Highly appreciated. I'm over 3rd week of august
and will check it out. Would be a shame. Planning to be
in Woodward, without the Prowler of course, but if I take
a look at CJ's link who has signed up I can really enjoy
all of the cats of fellow members.

Best regards,

Kees

Kees, we can get you a ride, I am sure. On Saturday be at 13th and Woodward and see a bunch of cats, half a block from ground zero.
Someone will have an open seat.

This stuff comes right off. I did not like the way one piece looked (had a small flaw in the chrome) so I removed it after it had been on for a few weeks and it came off easy and clean without any damage to the paint. Don't fall for that B.S. from the viper store. This is the exact same thing! You can get it at any auto parts store here for $8.00 to $12.00 for twenty feet.Don't pay $85.00 !!!

I don't have the auction number, but just search for Prowler Grill and it should come up. You can also search the past auctions if they are not running one this week. They had one go off last week with no bidders.

Who is the current high bidder, "huizar_52" , I don't want to outbid a good sale for you. He has it for $43.00 right now. My E-bay identifier is "grubbyone".
Marty, Will you post some pictures of your Prowler with the grill treatment on your doors and trunk?

Kees, After about two years the chrome on the door edge molding will start to flake off. At least mine did. Anyway I pulled the old molding off the grille thast had been on for two years and it had no effect at all on the grille or the paint. I think the Viper store is a major rip off.
