i hope everybody is having a good day!!
last night i went to auto zone, as i was getting out of the
kat i looked to my right and see two guys in a nice trans-am coming down a side street looking at the prowler (the driver leaning way over the passanger to get a good look).
as i turn to walk into the store i here a crash the another then another! the trans-am slammed into a chevy cavalier at the stop sign, pushed it into a busy intersection, the chevy was t-boned by another car then a motor cycle slammed into it, i was like (OH MY GOD)!
the only one was hurt was the lady in the cavalier!
i walk over to see if all is ok and the two guys in the trans-am just gave me a look like it was my fault!
so i went on my way, i was going to comment on the trans-am
ram air hood on how it will work much better now but i didnt!!
ive only had my prowler for six months but have learned how alert you have to be while driving! people will do crazy things to see the kat!
take care all!

You are so right. People will run you and everyone in their way down just to get close. We try to keep some distance but it always leaves room for the next looker. Still, I love the whole experience in the kat.

yup seen it happen before myself...

The car that Pompous-Blowhard-Loser Brock Yates calls an embarrassment seems to cause people to run over their own mother just to get a closer look.....go figure.

i bet you long time cat owners have some wild stories!
last sunday, janet and i went for a drive and this crazy lady flies up next to us then slows down and starts taking pictures with her cell phone then she floors it and gets in front of us then slows down, one hand on steering wheel
the other over the back seat taking pictures!
i love the kat and the response it gets, but damn you have to be so careful of others!!
take care all

rraite...........it's pretty scary sometimes. The thing that bothers me the most is when people sort of box you in your lane, trying to look at the car and you can't move if you need to. On top of that, while they are looking, they keep drifting close to you!

I was driving down the street one day and a car came flying up the center turn lane to stop at the left turn light. They stopped next to my car before they got that far and a young guy in the passenger seat was literally hanging way out the window trying to get pictures. The driver had to proceed when the left turn light came on and I thought the guy was going to fall out the window when the driver accelerated!

They do crazy things just to get a look or a pic of the cat!!

you are so right CJ! its hard to believe what some people will do to get close to the kat! most of the people are cool about it and just check it out (smile) then move on! but there are some that are just plum crazzzzy!!

Causing a crash because your car looks so good..gotta love the Prowler!! If no one got hurt you can brag about it.

Have yet to cause an accident but see way too many people paying more attention to the Kat then the road.

I had a kid "trying" to keep up with me the other day in a suped up Mazda while his girl was video taping my car.
I let them for a few blocks.

Is it wrong to be one of those idiots hanging out of the car to get a good look? I do it all the time and I own a Kat! If I'm in my work van or in my Grand Cherokee, I almost shoulder role the car to get a good long look at someone else's Kat!

I especially like it when you come to a four way stop and everyone waits for you to go through so that they can check it out.

HERES MY STORY... LAST SUMMER AN OLD LADY A GRANDMOTHER STOPPED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE INTERSECTION AS I WAS MAKING A LEFT TURN, SHE WANTED TO KNOW WHAT KIND OF CAR THIS WAS SO SHE COULD TELL HER GRANDSON, AS I TOLD HER, A CAR SMACKED HER FROM BEHIND THEN ANOTHER CAR HIT THAT ONE. WHY WOULD ANYONE STOP IN THE MIDDLE OF AN INTERSECTION. I GUESS THAT IS WHAT THE PROWLER DOES.

A year ago while looking for parking in Santa Monica, some guy jumped out of a crowd on the sidewalk, right in front of my Purple to take a picture... I almost hit him...
He gave me a thumbs up then ran to catch up with his friends...

Today a guy in a Porsche was so worried that a girl in a Chrysler would beat him to the single lane that he floored it and took both lanes to the single, cutting me off in the middle of an intersection... What a dope

There have been other crazy things, but I will remember those for a long time...

Doesn't make any differnece which color Kat you have, it will distract someone. It's happened to me too. I just sat there at the intersection & watched. God was on the side of that driver that day.............

I just drove my Kat about 225 miles this past Sunday of which about 150 was on Interstate 81 in VA. I had three different passing cars take photos. I have owned several custom cars, several street rods and one T-Bucket, but I never had one photographed by another car!
Also had some a$$hole from Washington DC tailgate me and flash his headlights while I was trying to pass a semi at 75+ mph! After I passed and pulled back into the right lane he shot past and flipped me the bird! Guess he didn't like my Prowler being better looking than his SUV!!I would be willing to bet that he was a politician!!!

Last week Me and the wife were coming home from a wonderful dinner at a fine restaurant downtown and the Mazda pulls up next to us with 4 teenagers inside and one leans out and points his Cele phone at us and takes about 6 pictures of us. I guess he was trying to forward them to a girlfriend. Glad it wasn't the driver..

Sometime in the first we owned the Prowler, I was heading northbound on a four lane non divided road with a 50MPH speed limit. A guy coming southbound T-Boned a car coming out of a shopping center. I saw him watching the Prowler and not the road. The sad part is, I think the person exiting the shopping center was also watching the Prowler as well.
Had another guy jump out of his car a traffic yellng at the top of his lungs "OH MY GOD"
