Todays terminology...Bad has been changed to Sick.

I was told that by a younger man last Summer referring to my Cat...I think. He was walking by and said "Hey man...that car is sick". I replied..."No...it's actually running pretty good!"

Nice toys. Like you, I'm a TBKT fan. Wish I still had mine.

I wish the same...I would really have liked to keep my T-bucket too, just didn't use it that much. How we hate what we do when we did it!

I have had the T-Bucket for 10 years now. I still have my first car 1968 Camaro Z-28 and will not sell it based on my dad's advice. I had it for sale many years ago and my dad asked if I needed Money and I told him no. He wanted to know why I was selling it and I explained that I did not drive it. He then reminded me of the stories of his cars and wished that he still had some of them. I threw the sign away and have not thought of selling it or the T-bucket again. The Hummer is my daily driver and that was a Hummer sponsored off road event. That was the second trip down that hill and the first time it was beyond a pucker factor as I was thinking insurance will not cover this..The T-Bucket runs 9.9 second 1/4 mile and weighs 1400 pounds. 4:56 gears and 538 HP. Butchcee nice plate...

TB--looks like we had similar setups. I built mine with a 350 with 9-1 compression, flat tappet cam , good rods and crank and ported double hump heads.I wanted to be able to drive it with confidence. I had a 411 posi rear.I ran it at a club event at an 1/8 mile track and ran a 7.11 ET with street tires and muffled sidepipes.
The car was new then and after I bumped the mag a bit,I felt substantially more by seat of the pants. I'm guessing 7 sec flat eight at least. It never failed to impress anyone that went for a ride. Like you, I kept mine 10 years and didn't drive it much the last year of ownership.
Nothing like the power to weight ratio of a T.

When I was a baby, I spent more time in a T-Bucket than a crip. My father would baby sit me all day long while he was building a Total Performance T. He would fill the bucket up with pillows and put me in it and presto...the coolest Hot Rod Crib ever. That is how this sickness began for me.
