After attending the Cruise for a Cure last weekend at the Costa Mesa Fairgrounds I decided I needed to do something special for one of my favorite Prowler owners. Bonnie Summerlin loves to be around hot rods and the people that own them. Bonnie's increasingly limited mobility over the last couple of years has begun holding her back from doing what she loves most, visiting with her hot rod friends and driving her Prowler. Bonnie is one of the most positive, upbeat and fun people that I've ever met. Bonnie has severe Rheumatoid Arthritis. She's had both knees replaced, quite a few other problems and a whole lot of pain that she never complains about. Every day is a new and promising fresh day to her and I wanted to do my part to help her enjoy them. Anyhow to make this long story short, ------------------ This message has been edited by Larry Lord on 10-04-2004 at 01:00 AM |

Looks Sweet ... and if Jesse James is watching this site, perhaps an idea for a future show, but maybe for a chopper instead. Great craftmanship ... exceptional gesture! |

I just noticed something Larry... Looks like it's held in place with a bungie? Is that enough to keep it in place on the road? I would hate to see her use it and have it end up on her car over bumps, or lost on the road. (You probably know more about these things than I, just an observation...) I love what you've come up with to help her out tho! |

Thanks all for your comments! quote: The cart is locked into the carrier by the front wheel saddle and then there is a lock pin at the rear of the seat that protrudes through both ramps. The ramps when upright, hold the cart forward and into the front tire saddle. This message has been edited by Larry Lord on 10-04-2004 at 02:14 PM |

Awesome Larry, a ,most thoughtfull and wonderful jesture. I hope you kept the plans for your design. Linda has RA. It is primarily in her feet. She currently is not where she needs a cart yet but possibly someday we may contract you to make another. |

Larry; Great job. It is heart warming to see someone help somebody with mobility problems. Don't lose the plans. I have mobility issues which will only progress in the future. Someday I will call on you sell me a similar unit. Neal ------------------ |
