I push that issue as long as I can.........last several years, I haven't put them away until the end of November. It will depend on the weather!

Same here. Weather is the deciding factor. Hoping it'll be sometime in November, but you never know around here.

With global warming, soon we will be year round here, also. lol. I still maintain that the summers are much cooler here than when I was a kid and that nice weather lasts almost until Christmas and sometimes later. Of course we have rain during the entire month of June almost every year now. I think the season change is much later than it used to be. We have played golf in short sleeves in Feb. a few times in the past ten years.
That's my story and I am sticking to it. I don't really ever put the car away for winter. It might stay in the garage longer than usual but I do not prepare it for hibernation.

The first time the weatherman talks of snow I prep the car,
then it is a wait and see as to when it really gets parked for the winter. It has been as early as first part of Nov. or as late as after Christmas, you never know around here. Once the streets have had salt put down my car will not come back out unless it has rained at least twice with no additional salt put on the streets.

Since they don't salt our roads, I'm like BT 161, the katt plays all year long. If it actually snows, which doesn't happen much hear, then I drive my 4x4.

Around here they spray that liquid salt on the roads if they even think it will snow. half the time it never does, and I get to enjoy all that salt for no reason.

Every day that happens, no matter how cold it is, I rinse the car down good before pulling in the garage...meaning I have to pull a warm hose out of the basement so I can even spray water...

It's a huge pain, but I'd rather do that than drive anything else....

I guess it's the time of year where those of you who live in warm, year-round climates are going to start harassing those of us who have no choice about where we have to live, about having to store our cats for the winter.

I've lived a lot of different places and although I would much rather be back living in Colorado, that's just not the way it is right now. When we retire for good, I'll be making a choice then. One thing I do know, is it won't be a place that has 100+ temps, 100% humidity, flooding rains, hurricanes, mudslides, earthquakes, etc. I like the change of seasons and some snow for a few months isn't that bad either. I look at it as some down time for the cars........a little less mileage on them......and some forced time to do all the things I don't get done the rest of the year because I am out in my cats all the time!

No need to eat my heart out..........I'm content the way things are right now.

Oh yeah..........Christmas without snow just isn't right!

You have to give me a break as I lived in Wyoming for 20 years. Know all about that cold and snow ! I do agree with you that there is nothing like that first snowfall of the year. Unfortunatly, sooner or later the snow plows get around to it and dump it in your driveway ! Hope your all having a good year !!!!!!!

I can't remember the last time it was 10 below here. Our winters have not been that bad since we moved back here 12 years ago. Weather patterns have changed greatly. Heck, we only had about an inch of snow for Christmas last year!
