Wondering if the higher gas prices this summer will make you limit the miles you drive your Prowler and will you cut back on the events you attend? |

Yea right!! Just like i could stop eating!!! Just put my Baja Outlaw in the water on tuesday. I had the guy from the marina stop at the gas station to fill it up first. It took 75 gallons!! Better then $4 a gallon on the lake! We are spoiled here in US. Gas is a lot more in other countrys. Every Mom in my state drives a big SUV or Caravan!! I was at the local Ice cream shop last night. I counted 20 out of 26 cars as large SUV's. I see people who drive an extra 5 miles for cheap gas. For 5 cents a gallon difference??? Its like are you not going to give your kids Milk because the price went up? We are americans!! We over indulge in everything!! JMO ------------------ |

Even at $4.00 a gallon there will be no shortage of Prowlin'ever! I might just have to move down south and cut my living expenses in half-everything up here seems like it's higher priced...starting with gas! Bob Goetz had a little taste of it last year with the cost of beer,remember... ------------------ This message has been edited by DR PROWLER on 05-12-2004 at 02:20 PM |

no.....I'm just traveling places that are downhill for the summer....seriously, gas is still easier for me to afford at $3.00per gallon than when I was a kid and it was .35cents per gallon....paid $2.65 per gallon on the local economy 30 some years ago when I lived in China...at my age, I am not going to become a hermit because of high gas prices.... |

Hey, dont cry. We are having Gas prices up to 5.5Dollar/Gallon since longer time. I still enjoy my Prowler and 34" Ford Street Rod a lot. On daily driving I swiched from my big mercedes to a ugly new all aluminium audi with a diesel engine. The car has gut torque, is good for 120mp/h and take 65miles to the gallon. I see that a lot us familys run in big trouble with their gas guzzlers if the fuel price goes even higher than now. greetings ..... -C-. |

I'm driving the Prowler for economy, heck of a lot better mileage than the pick up. This I think is Lettermans top 10 for gas prices: Top Ten Ways Dumb Guys Would Lower Gas Prices 10. Sell gas by the half-gallon 9. Sneak up to gas stations in the middle of the night and switch the price numbers 8. Cut out that expensive ingredient that gives it that delicious gas smell 7. Forget OPEC, start getting oil from Wal-Mart 6. Step one: Oprah buys all the gas. Step 2: Oprah gives the gas away. 5. Build time machine, drive back to 1965 when gas was cheap. 4. Fill car with root beer. Cars won't know no better. 3. Release the recipe so people can make their own 2. Drive really fast so you're not driving so long 1. Invade Iraq |

When I bought my "99" Kat in 1998 it cost me $9.00 to fill up. This Sat. it cost me $22.00!! Filled her twice!! Drove across the State...Went to a little town called West Branch! I don't think anyone there ever saw a Kat! Had to answer a million questions from the Locals! I'm Prowlin'! |
