I was at the sale (Manheim Auto Auction) today.
Stumbled opon a Silver '01 Kat with about 900 miles on it.
Stood there, curious as to what it would do, and it brought $34,100.
That's a very strong wholesale dealer price and it looks as if,(at least on very low mileage Kats), that the prices are starting to go back up slightly.

The bank gave me $38,000 on a note against mine. Said it was NADA price. More then I paid.

Stormcat, a lot of it depends on location, color, mileage etc. This time of year convertibles are more in demand. In Fla. they are in demand year round prbably. If you take your time you should be able to find what you want at a reasonable price.

As far as the used cat pricing...like any used car...it varies due to the mileage, age of the vehicle and of course the condition of the vehicle.
The unfortunate situation I have experienced when purchasing my Prowler was that a selected few owners of these vehicles, I believe, are trying to recoup their losses. Unfortunately they paid way too much for their cat when the dealer(s) artificially inflated their prices well above the MSRP. This was due to supply and demand. Extreme demand with not enough supply.
Just do your homework and look around for the best deal. Good luck!!!

If you read carefully, I said "Very low mileage cars" perhaps are starting to go back up.
This Kat had under 1K miles on it
Last year you would have been hard pressed for an '01 to wholesale over 30-31K

Hopefully they aren't just going up because of demand.. In my experience Convertibles always bring the most money in Spring/Early Summer....

Roman,I was laughing when I seen your post. I was hoping no one would ever notice. Sometimes I go back and change his posts. He actually has a diploma. I always wondered if he stoled it. I tell him, I am going to sue the school for his poor writing and spelling skills.

I have been watching most of the ebay sales on prowlers, as well as locally........great sign to see.
>my first guestimate was 2-5 yrs min., and in 2 yrs.we have seen an increase from ones originally getting 25,000. are now 28k min to 33k.......to low mileage 28k now about 33-35k, and a few higher at 38k.

***another guage is the cost increase on the resale of DC TRAILERS....THEY ARE UP ALSO !!!

Did you see this one! I wish I had gotten in on this!
This had been listed before. I met reserve then someone canceled a bid.
It certainly look legit.
