That is "bad to the Bone" I also like the Panel type top but it probably had a huge blind spots on each side

Biggest problem would be No Trunk, unless the hinges will hold the top.

Hey Gary,

Apparently not a problem for Bob and team....

From the little I gather, it is going to be something similiar to the M&M delivery top.

Later...

I was looking at car pictures yesterday and thought this could be a cool idea, as I love the old vettes this is what I would like. The only way to pull it off would be to cut the deck lid out where the top would cover. One of my painters restores old vettes so I think I will have to measure one up to see how close it would be.

From the side that is Bad To The Bone. Not too crazy about having to cut the deck lid though. There has to be an alternative.

Hey Bob,

If your thinking about cutting the deck lid then you will most likely have to offer the custom deck lids as well.

The deck lids are not to tough to remove. It would be a slight pain in the rear to change between this top and then going back to stock.

DavidN,

I only rendered the side view. I will have to talk with bob again to pic his brain on how the rear would look. If I can visualize it, I can render it.

Dan/Bob:

It looks pretty cool, BUUTTT I like the lines of the hardtop you have historically offered better.

Please don't take this as a negative response. If I had never seen the other top I would have said this vette top was fantastic.

Others may like it better.

It's cool but...

You might not sell as many if people have to cut their trunk lid.

I think the delivery panel truck top is the coolest custom treatment I've seen....The proto is purple. Know which one I mean? Maybe go in that direction?

To be honest, I am not the type to buy either. My Prowler is too cool as is....

I think it an AWESOME alternative to the other hard tops. If it was a complete decklid / top assembly, think of the additional trunk space you could gain from it. I also like the Boatail impression it gives, Now if we only had some stainless pipes coming out of the engine side panels running down into some side pipes. Wait, while we are thinking about full customization, how about a split hood with folding side panels also. Bring back the 30's hood design.

I do like the look of this design

looks nice bob,but its a prowler, not a vette. needs to be unique mod, not a wanna be car, though your products are superb, if others want it, go for it, i am sure the finished product will look great. Iprefer the ORIGINAL lines of the Prowler! .....speaking of finished prod(respond to air intake -how are we coming?)

Since you asked..... I'd have to go with Nay....

Like Rich... Its a vette.. and that puts it in a 'wannabe' class...... The Prowler is pure art... agreeably open to modifications... but this one is so obviously vette that I would not purchase it...

Besides, been there, done that, had a 64...

Like the prowler lines better

Looks great but I think it should be changed a bit so it doesn't look like a direct rip from the Vette.

OK...I guess each individual has his/her own taste. As for me, I bought a Split Window Corvette one year before the Prowler. This will remind me to drive the Vette tomorrow instead of the Prowler. I Think it's time to give her some attention too. I guess I am one of the lucky ones to own both of them...

The design from the side looks great. Look like a fast back. The Boat tail of the vette however does not fit the lines of the Prowler deck. It would look better with a fast back design like the late forties Chevy and Caddie and a smaller rear window. JMO
