I know there are several owners out there that have less than 2000 miles (Some only a few 100) on their cat and have owned them for several years. I was just curious why you don't drive the cat? Are you saving it? Don't like to drive it?

Brian We only put about 4000 miles on ours these last seven months. Alot of that had to do with my wife being sick. Hopefully when she's better, we plan to take some long adventures this coming year. I think the reason many folks don't put the miles on are because of the posibility they feel the kat will be worth more with less miles on it and maybe that's true. In my opinion a car just sitting isn't good. But everyone has the right to do as they wish for whatever reason they wish...I know one thing we're riding more in 2004!

I've had 3 prowlers, never put more then 900 miles any. Longest I had one was for 1.5 years. Wasn't saving any for an investment I just enjoy the feeling of driving a brand new car. The smell, how crisp everything is, no scratches/dents, etc. Everything fresh. Every time I got behind the wheel, it felt like I just bought it 5 minutes ago.

To each, their own....

I have had 8 Kats ....some I drove, some I didn't ....
put 5k on my first, '99 black.....owned it a year or so
put 4K on my second, '00 silver...owned it about 6 mos
put 300 on my third, '00 black... owned it a few months
put 4K on my fourth, '00 yellow....drove it 6 months
put 235 on my fifth, '01 Mulholland...owned it a year, didn't like it, never drove it, never washed it or put gas in it...
put 28K on my sixth, '01 orange....drove it during two winters as a daily driver, owned it 18 mos....it was probably my favorite Kat...

now the two low mile cars....
...I still have a '00 yellow that only has 116 miles on it....I have owned it nearly 4 years...it is only out of the bag 2-3 times a year for parades and car shows, thats it...
...I also still have an '02 Kandi that had 175 miles on it till the Smokies....it came back with a little under 1300 miles on it after that event....it hasn't been driven except to a parade and a car show since...it is nearly 2 years old....
...I like to drive them, just have several other fun cars that get into the mix, and certain ones go to the back of the pack for a while...right now, one of the Vipers and the new Vette are getting the most street time....

if you need any help putting miles on them I'm available

How many miles were put on the Challenger from the time it left your hands till it returned. (I know the people that had this between the times Larry owned it, Brad had it sold it to Steve then Brad bought it back only to resale to Larry) Brad told me this was the car he was going to KEEP. A few weeks later I see it in New Castle at Larry's Cruise in.

01 with 500 miles but I plan on putting alot more on it soon. I would like to know if there are any events around Missouri to help me get more miles on it.

WildCat.....
.....I bought the T/A in 1988 and it left my posession about 12 years later...I had put around 600 miles on it during that time....bought it back about 18-20 months ago and have only put about 25 miles on it since its return...it has been 15 months at least since it has been out of it's bubble....the owners during the time I sold it and bought it back put about 4-5K miles on it...I had about 20-25 T/A Challengers thru the years and I kept 2 of them one Plum Crazy and a Panther Pink(owned 4 of the 28 pinks made) and also had a Challenger T/A that was triple black with only 3,600 miles....it also was a pistol grip 4-spd...

CT.....
......I wanted a blue Kat badly......ordered one from Woodhouse....when they were introduced they were much darker than I expected....I was hoping for a "Patriot Blue" and I went to the Detroit Auto Show to see what the blue looked like in person before mine arrived.....I wasn't thrilled with it.....the orange Kat at the show really caught my attention, so I came back and ordered one of those also....when the orange Kat arrived I started driving it everyday, because I really had no intention of keeping it, but it grew to be one of my favorites....when the blue arrived a few weeks later I just parked it....drove it about 5-6 times and never drove it again....it never got dirty so I never even washed it or even dusted it off....it just sat covered up in a warehouse across town....finally decided to sell it and bought a new '02 Kandi with the $$$

I put about 1,100 on it in 3 months. I love driving it, but I'm very protective...no rain, no snow, no sleet, etc.

It has everything to do with the weather.

I've put 7500 on mine in a little over a year and a half but never in or after a rain. Compared to any other car for the smiles and fun, it seems like a 50:1 ratio smiles and fun to miles!

Bought mine Dec 12, 2003 with 201 miles.

Drove it home 1100+ miles. So I guess with 1306 miles I still fall in the under 2000 mile club. But it won't stay that way for long.

I got my yellow '99 in December 2002 with 576 odometer miles on it. With weekend driving (to basically nowhere), I now have ~2500 miles. Included is a travel to the Turkey Run, which was a very good use of mileage.
