Their Purple Kat and trailer won Best of Show (post 75) at today's Mopars at the Battleship in Mobile, AL. There were around 170 registered cars. We had 4 Prowlers, 28 PTs and 2 Vipers within the 170. Lots of other classic Mopars (cars, trucks, race cars). We just got back after 300 mile round trip. It was a nice show, beautiful weather and lots of time to mingle with some good friends and meet many other nice folks...Rich & Linda are still in Mobile and won't be back into Atlanta until tomorrow night. Here's some pics... Rich & Linda with their Best of Show trophy next to the Oyster House restaurant where we met along with many of the PT folks after the show for dinner. Here's the four Kat guys (me, Ken Owens (KCO), Al Guichet (ONAPRWL) & Rich (Beware)... Beware's Kat & Trailer ... The other three Kats ... Some of the PTs ... Some very nice looking cars... Many, many, many mods... More PTS ... Battleship Park in Mobile, AL ... ------------------

USA Registered: Jul 2000 Admin Use	posted 04-26-2003 09:46 PM I also road tested the PT luggage rack/carrier for the first time on the Prowler... Carried a set of front body protectors over for Ken and couple fold up chairs... Here's some pics... Several of the PTs had scoops added to their hoods. This one was unique (sorta like Prowler concept - opens toward the front)... Here's Jerry's Red PT next to Chuck's Taupe. Jerry has a snap-on chrome grill that just slips over the stock grill. Not sure if this would work on the Prowler grill. It was completely chromed over, under and all the way to the back... Dan & Theresa's Taupe PT from Georgia. Had wood floors in the back, scoop on hood, air brushing on inside, 39 Ford taillights, chrome replacable grill and chromillusion flames under the hood and on the PT... I was looking at some pictures on the PT site from that same show. Of course I had no idea where it was located. But they included pictures of a few Prowlers that I recognized. Purple Lady and I just got back from Mobile. We had a blast. First of all we want to thank the Georgia PT Cruiser Club for asking us to cruise down and back with them. They even arranged a fantastic place for us to stay, and at an outstanding rate. They made us feel just like part of their PT family. What a wondeful bunch of folks. They have some relly beautiful PT's. We arrived at the show with 23 other PTS, We were about 8th in line. The guy in the booth says "what did they do to your PT?" . It was great seeing Laddie and Karen again, and finally meeting Al , Darlene and Ken. Ken left with a huge shopping list of Prowler accessories he wants to buy. The PT Cruisers, Vipers and Prowlers all had a class unto themselves. We took a top 10 throphy in this class. We were very delightded. We with the other Prowlers and PT Cruisers had dinner reservations at 4:30 so we left before all the awards were presented. About 5:30 one of the Alabama Mopar Club members shows up and says he is looking for Rich & Linda. He tells us he has a agreat big throphy for us in his car as we had won Best of show 1975 and newer. I am proud to say, yesterday, at Sunday's Spring Fling... Best in class: Me! Best in Class: Meangene Best Mopar: Sirreal. (They don't give 1st 2nd 3rd prizes they give 3 best of class trophies...ironically the 3rd best of class 79-03, went to a teal blue 02 TBird...identical to my wife's!) So the 3 prizes went to 2 Prowlers and a TBird.
