Does anyone have a spare hood for sale . I have too cut a hole in mine for a shaker like on the old Cudas . The HEMI is going to poke through the hood 3-4 inches ? This message has been edited by moparmania on 02-09-2003 at 05:33 PM |

It will be nice if you ever get it done. The giveaway is the oil fill on the passenger side from the V6. I do have a spare gold hood....needs a little repair. |

Butchcee thats just the airbox sitting on the engine .pic is a couple weeks old . V6 is out now . Im just modifiying a 03 truck standard bellhousing to accept a new adaptor for the prowler driveline . This seems to be the hardest part of the conversion. Ive cut the housing 2inches deep just enough to house the flex plate & hold the starter.Im welding a 1/4 inch alum plate with a hole in it to alow the drivshaft adaptor to pass through .Dont laugh at my drawing . Ill post some good pics a little later . Maybe someone has some suggestions for this hook up. This message has been edited by moparmania on 02-07-2003 at 03:06 PM |

I am curious what is the comparison of weight between the Hemi and the V6 |

Ill try to document everything & blueprint the machined parts . The new hemi weighs 590 lbs . I'm not sure what the 3.5 weighs . The HEMI engine is 27 inches wide outer tip of manifolds . 28 inches long back of flexplate to tip of water pump pulley . The prowler 3.5 is 30 inches x30 inches . |

moparmania, I hope it all works out. Maybe you will be able to produce a kit for the transplant. Someday, if not already, new Hemi's will be more plentiful that Prowler 3.5's and this may be the best way to go. ------------------ |
