The virus-like attack, which began about 12:30 a.m. EST, sought out vulnerable computers on the Internet to infect using a known flaw in popular database software from Microsoft Corp. called "SQL Server 2000." The attacking software was scanning for victim computers so randomly and so aggressively, sending out thousands of probes a second, that it saturated many Internet data pipelines.

The worm didn't attack our server, but it went after an SQL database flaw on Windows 2000 servers. The worm was replicating so fast that it killed most internet traffic on the east coast and overseas. It took down the Department of Defense , NASDAQ, and lots of other services, in fact Continental Airlines is still down! The irony of it all is that Microsoft released a patch back in July and so many people didn't install it. ProwlerOnline runs on Linux, not windows. |

Thanks Guys For getting the site back up, sure seems strange to go on line and not be able to access your favorite site. Makes you wonder what it would be like without Prowler On Line. Once again Thanks. |

Something to do with you predicting the Bengals and the Cardinals in the Super Bowl next year. And you think the Begals are losers,,,,top this,,,, in the 82 year history of the football Cardinals, they have had only 23 winning seasons. To top that,,,,they announced yesterday that they are raising ticket prices, LOL,,,,for what? |
