Fix, Not the problem in your subject but the other one in the text. Being in Indy, my weather isn't much different than yours. Last time I had it (the Kat) out was Sunday. Thought about Friday. Of course the last time I had the top open is a different story ...

Haven't had mine out in about 3 weeks, sucks, because I have been to busy, But today I won't get it out because we are having an ICE STORM, yuk!, Power is out, went out while taking a shower this morning, prob. won't be back on for some time. The only place in our town that has power is at the steel mill where I work, that sucks too. |

Last day I got to drive the cat was the day after our anniversary. I have to say that this is the latest I've had the cat out. So, I'm grateful for that. Frankly, I get so involved with the holidays, that I don't have much time to think about the fact that I can't drive the cat. It'll be that way until after the first of the year and then it'll only be a few short months until Spring, so it'll fly by!!! |

Sleet and Freezing rain is predicted for later today in northeast Georgia, possibly in the Atlanta area. Ice storms are famous in Georgia for causing downed trees and power lines, so my Kat is safely in the garage. He will get to come out Saturday moring for the "Shop With A Cop" outing at the local K-mart. |

The weather service is calling for snow here in central NC today (about 1" to 3"), followed by sleet tonight (another 1' to 3") and freezing rain tomorrow. My kids are getting out of school today at noon. Great basketball weather, but terrible Kat weather! My kitty is wrapped up snug and warm. I did take my Dad on a 2 hour cruise on Thanksgiving day. We drank a couple of cold ones, burped, farted, etc. Great father and son bonding! I'm going to put My Kat in her first parade Saturday. |

quote: Don't worry......you're not spoiling anything. I actually look forward to the holidays and as I've said before, it just wouldn't seem like Christmas if it wasn't cold and we didn't have snow on the ground. There's nothing more beautiful! It's also a time of the year to focus on more important things than the Prowler. GASP!!! Yes, there are more important things.........like being with family, like being grateful for not only being lucky enough to own the Prowler, but lucky enough to have two sons I love dearly, a daughter-in-law who is more like a daughter, for two of the greatest grandsons a person could have, to have a military son who I am so proud of I could burst, for my health and my home and my friends. We just returned from a trip to New York and while there and walking the streets of Manhattan, it was such a huge contrast in human life. There is so much wealth there, and so much poverty. There are so many people who are trying to survive and here I am, walking in and out of stores like Macy's and Tiffany's etc. (even if it is just to look). We saw people living under bridges and sleeping on park benches with their bedrolls and all their worldly possessions. Sort of brings things into perspective as to how lucky we are and how insignificant an issue it is that I can't drive my Prowler for a few months. Big deal! There was an elderly lady walking down the streets in front of us one day. It was extremeley cold and windy. She had on a lightweight raincoat, a knitted hat, no gloves. She was wearing a pair of men's suit pants, men's loafers that were way to big for her and no socks. She had to be in her mid-80's and after watching her for a while, I wanted to cry. I wondered where her family was and why she had to live the way she was and did she not have anyone to take care of her? She was scouring garbage baskets for food and picking up aluminum cans. She never once stopped and begged anyone for anything (like a lot of them do). I felt so bad for her that I caught up to her and gave her some money and told her Merry Christmas. She was obviously taken aback and as I walked away, she shouted down the street at me, "Bless You and I love you". So, if I start feeling badly because I can't drive my car for a few months...........I am going to keep that little lady in my head and thank God that I am as lucky as I am. Obviously, not all of the people in this world are. |

Three to six inches of snow in ther area today. I hate it when I have to drive with the top up. Actully I am surprised that the RainX works as well as it does with the snow. Of course it's just a light snow right now. I have the driver's side windshield wiper in the trunk in case I need it. |

CJ, the little old lady was A/C in drag. He was bragging about it a few days ago, while you were not posting. Seriously, that was a nice post, a nice story and a good memory for you. The first time I was in NY city a guy was laying on the sidewalk in a almost full body cast and I kept wondering how he got there since he obviously could not walk. He was right near the transit authority building. You definitely see some sights in NY (and other cities, as well). To get back to the topic, we had snow last week and they spread so much salt that it will have to rain hard and then get warm before I get the cat back out. It could be a week or 3 months. |
