starting ANOTHERcolor debate............

I was at Office Max this evening and saw a Car and Driver 2003 Muscle Car calendar. One of the featured cars was an orange 2001 Plymouth Prowler.

That's because the 2002 "Dream Cars" calendar already used YELLOW, THE BEST COLOR EVER.

As everyone knows, Purple has always been the (mascot) and First color of the prowler used in all of the promotions and calenders. We, the purple prowlers have carried our weight to spread the word to others about the beauty and class of the prowler long enough. Therefore, we have stepped down from our long held position of prowler spokes person color and allowed the use of other colors to be used for further addvertisment. Being where HOLLOWEEN is just around the corner we figured what a more fitting color. ORANGE with black top. At Christmas we will allow the RED to be used if a green bow is applied. Be patient, we will get to all the colors soon.

If you are wondering where all this is coming from I don't have a clue. Its 3AM in the morning here and I just got in from work and slightly delirous after 14 hours straight! GOOD NIGHT

Actually, I have it on good authority that the car is really a yellow but, it was bad film they used and didn't have time to change it.

OK,rock solid analysis,,,,,,,,,they wanted a silver for the shot, but all were sold and no silver owner was willing to part with their's for even a few hours.

SILVER - the look of rich platinium, easiest to clean, striking appearance, and the most popular color of all 2001 cars sold =

Has anyone else compared the two 6-page foldout brochures:

"2000 Plymouth Prowler" with black cover, page 2
"Chrysler Prowler" with silver cover, back cover

Both of these are high-quality color photographs obviously meant to demonstrate the depth of the Prowler color -

THEY ARE BOTH THE EXACT SAME PHOTOGRAPH - BUT SOMEHOW THE PLYMOUTH IS RED AND THE CHRYSLER IS ORANGE.

-GRROWL

p.s. - I remember the old days when "Japan Red" would fade from red to orange, but I expected better from Chrysler - and in only a year. In any case, I knew I bought the right color - YELLOW, hasn't faded yet.

Just to keep this debate going.....
I love all the colors and I think its all personal choice. I had to see personally every color before I picked Orange. It just has to be seen to be appreciated.

As an Orange owner, I have noticed that the Prowler Orange is one of the more unique colors for a car. It fits the image of the car much like the Purple does (my second choice).
1. It's not typical (like the car)
2. You will not find the color on any other car.
3. Is seems to change colors as the light changes.
4. It is almost impossible to take a representative picture of the color. (Just look at the Chrysler brochures and web pictures. They could not do it justice either.)
5. The Prowler is a "to be seen" car. Orange makes that point with an exclamation point!!

Got to go find that calendar!!
