Many use their real names or initials....other of us use more cryptic codes ...explain what your user name means..........."tangled up in BLUE" is obviously an old Bob Dylan song(my favorite)...at the time I had a blue Kat on order........figure someday the song will be the final story of my life.....

Our kat is orange, and pumpkins are orange. Since all our cars have names we named our kat Pumpkin. So for the lack of anything better we use pumpkin as our user name. Pat is my wife and my name is Norm.

CJ...........the One and Only

CJ is a nickname that I've had for a very long time. When we lived in Colorado many moons ago, I always wanted a Jeep. When I finally got my first one, it was a 1983 Jeep CJ-7 Limited. My friends thought it was "cute" that my actual first and middle name's initials were C and J to match my Jeep. So, they started calling me CJ and I actually had (and still do) have plates on it that say "CJ'S CJ". Since I like CJ better than my real name, I've always stuck with it. It think it fits me better anyway.

The One and Only sort of came about the same way. People (especially my family) were always saying that "Thank God there was only one CJ). LOL!

And, no.......I'm not going to tell you what the C and J really stand for!

For those who have watched Will&Grace, mine is a spoof of "JUST JACK!" For everyone else, I want them to see me in my KAT, my tag is the same; and say "oh, that's JUST JP". Not rich, not famous, JUST JP.

P.S. My guess for CJ's name is...

The Prowler is no ordinary car as you know. We had the Superbird and added a SuperKat (super is the only way I can explain the Prowlin experience).

OK - as Ed pointed out, now that fixumm is back I will type slow so he can read this and understand why I chose my screen name. Here goes: My mom & dad named me Martin Usher. Most people call me Marty - fixumm that's a nick name for Martin, OK? - (except Rebecca affectionally calls me a**hole a lot and MikeK wouldn't accept that as a screen name) So, being the very creative and imaginative person I am, I chose MARTY USHER as my screen name. I hope this is not too complicated.

As a young man growing up, my father explained to me that those cats going through the back yards were PROWLERS and ALLEY CATS. One in the same! Our first family car was a 1947 Plymouth 2 dr sedan, and my father bought and drove Plymouths and Chryslers all his life. May he rest in peace knowing I'm carrying on the Plymouth name in the family. The Alley Cat will go to my grandson someday.

YELLER CAT...
2000 Yellow Prowler.

The correct Southern pronunciation of "yellow" is "YELLER" so y'all get the idea of the name.

The car was purchased and owned by TGF. It was used to promote the TGF aftermarket accessories. Instead of California Howler nameplates, they've use Metalcrafters' badges on both side of the side-panels.
That's how I came up with "Howler Cat". California Howler is too long for screen name.

BTW, happy birthday Terri.

I log on to lots of systems at work, and lots of web sites on the internet. So to keep things simple for me, and confusing for you (that part was not on purpose) I use the same user ID I have at work on just about everything. The user ID derives from your name and then they add a number. I'm an old timer so I have a 1 in there, which was later deemed to be all too often confused with a lower case L, so in our modern scheme of assigning user ID's I would be jmcant2. The jmcant part is based on my intials and the first 4 letters of my last name.

I was going to tell you what the J stands for, but if Carol Jean isn't fessing up then neither am I!

In hindsight, I wish I had used my real name as my moniker on this site and many others. I can't tell you how many times I get referred to as Jim, which is NOT what the J stands for.

Being old and feeble I choose to use my name and hope I can
remember it from post to post.

Hack I think that your 1320 came from a drag strip (1320 ft in a 1/4 mile) I know I have been down that trail many times.

jmcant1- I vote with you carol jean.

ondprowl- you got me I block bids on e-bay for a living and your the only one to figure it out.

anyway this is a fun thread-thanks
