Prowlancaster was a great success at least 27 Kats made it out and we even met a few new people and introduced them to the site. Mike V- everything was perfect. Well planned and a great time thanks. Great farm roads, the Amish, nice cruises, great food, trains, people and fun. Im posting a few picts but im sure there is much more to come.

We just arrived home from Lancaster. I want to thank Mike for a great event. The weather could not have been nicer. Saw some old friends and made some new ones. Silver and Orange were the strong colors. And....Gold outnumbered Black! The East Coast Posse will ride again at SkyLine Drive! |

trey or Dave - can we get a list of those attending? I'm hoping it wasn't a "Stealth" event like Woodward is going to be, where everyone just goes by their screen names to hide their identity |

AC: Mike may be the only one with an accurate list other than the one posted in the events section for ProwLancaster. Everybody used their real name (I think). There were some people that didn't stay for the whole event, but he registered everyone. |

AC The list on the full details page is very accurate with a few straglers and 1 or 2 changes, I left the original and final list in hotel room...sorry Anyway, I just want everyone to know that this event was a great pleasure to run for all, and I and Kim had a blast, Everyone even got to meet The "Queen of Sheba"..lol remember know matter how much planning and organizing that is done buy the host it still take help from fellow members to pull it off, I would like to take this oppourtunity to thank the Mills family, the Ushers, the Genet's and everyone else who helped with traffic control, I would like to Thank my wife Kim and the Yaegers (The Queen and her husband) for the regetrstion and set up help once the event got under way...remember a well planned event still requires support, and as can be counted on POA members were there, I look foward to the next time and glad a good time was had by all we are the greatest car club of them all...IMHO

Thanks Mike and Kim for organizing a great event. Learning about the railroad was just as much fun as putting faces to POA members' screen names. I had a wonderful time. This was my first official POA event, needless to say "I WANT MORE".....Thanks again everyone ------------------ CANDY |

We just got home and unloaded the trailer - 10 hour 20 minute drive time. Prowlancaster was worth it. Perfect weather, seeing old POA friends and making new ones. I think WildBill set a recored for # of photos taken - he had over 40 rolls of film. But I bet Damon (VaCat Dude) gets his posted first - thanks for loaning us your spare camera! Thanks to MeanGene for picking me up at BWI and putting me up for the night on Thursday - nice 72 GTO by the way. Gary & Kelly Archer - I appreciate you driving our of your way to met up with Rebecca since she was driviong solo - or did you do it to earn the farthest driving award. Ed - I am now looking for a hardtop Congrats on first place. Mike & Kim - WOW - what fun. Rebecca is still talking riding in the engine cab during the train ride. Hope you two go to enjoy things as much as we did. Bob Silsby - did Jason and you ever match up and run your supercharged silver against his nitrous after we left? This is already too long so I'm out of here. Marty |

Mike & Kim, As you can see from Marty's post, we are home safe and sound. The first thing I wanted to do was to tell you both how much we enjoyed Prowlancaster. "Y'all" did a fantastic job organizing the event and added some extra "special" touches to make everything memorable. I had never traveled that part of our great country and found it to be so charming. Loved the covered bridges, what a piece of Americana! Quite interesting IMO to see horse and buggies cruising beside our Kats But of course, most memorable for me was to be the LUCKY one to win the raffle Grand Prize of being the only one to "cruise" INSIDE the steam locomotive engine cab on our train ride. What a wonderful memory, I will never forget it("fireman" aside)LOL! Of course equally important was seeing old friends and making new ones (Wild Bill, you are a delight!). I loved being able to spend some time with some of the folks who I met at Louisville, but didn't have a chance to talk to as much as I wanted (Lucy/Bill "Niteman"); (Bob/Carol "Rebel Bob"). Jason, it was great seeing you again, glad to know your Kat is still looking good and running fast! Gary and Kelly Archer, as Marty said thanks for going out of your way to meet up with me to have a mini "Katavan", love you guys. Phil Genet, as usual it's great to have you share my ride too and also the Buerhle's! John and Shelley, you have a beautiful family! Damon (Virginia Cat Dude) and Roger (VCD, Sr), as always a pleasure. Thanks so much for the loan of the camera, I was so disappointed to realize I had forgotten ours! Better watch out VCD, you're apt to become the official POA photographer, sharing the duties with Wildbill!! VCD, Sr., you are a real Southern Gentleman! Dave and Brenda Mills (Senior Kat owners, not in age of course), so good to see you again, thanks for bringing up the rear...Brenda you're great communicator/navigator. And of course, Ed and Sandy.....the backbone of POA! It's been said before, but I'll say it again, the best part of owning a KAT is sharing our enthusiasm with other owners and enjoying the fun and camaraderie! It was great to see some new faces there at their first event! I might point out too, that the organizers of this event, Mike and Kim (Kim Kat)Venezia, attended their first event in Louisville only three short months ago! WOW! Also, Mike and Kim, be sure to thank your friends (the Yaegers) for helping out (get them to buy a Prowler!) Thanks for the memories, Rebecca This message has been edited by Reba-Cat on 08-11-2002 at 09:47 PM |

Mike & Kim, Thanks for hosting a fabulous week-end. We had a great time, even our side trip to Maryland. lol. I enjoyed the railroad immensely due to my background. Sandy has always been afraid of trains but she really enjoyed it, too. The country side is spectacular and we got to see some things we had never seen before. We met some new people and got to visit with some OLD (read Dave MIlls) people. It was truly a great event and a lot of fun. On the way home we pulled up next to a gold cat and thought it was someone coming home from Lancaster, but they were just out for a Sunday drive. They live in Westminster, Maryland. Someone make sure they get on line. We travelled thru DETOUR, Maryland. That is the name of the town. |

Mike and Kim, Couldn't put into words just how much fun it was and, just how much well it was organized. We had such a blast. Weather, food, trains, cars and of course, great company in all of our fellow Prowler owners. Thanks to everyone for making my family feel so at home. The kids all enjoyed the rides in the Prowlers and everyone's kindness..... Loved cruising to Lancaster with Rebecca, the Archers and Phil Gennet. Phil and I cruised home and it was a nice ride - Phil hung with us even though the kids had to stop a bit more often than he would have The Train ride was the children's favorite part - I loved the museum as well. It was tremendously interesting Mike. The countryside and the Bridge tour were spectacular. You really did it up right. Can't wait until the next one...... John, PS. My kids are wondering why we call him MeanGene...... said he's not mean at all.... ------------------ 2001 Orange, Mopar Exhaust, MTD Intake, Front and Rear Mud Flaps, Chrome Shimmers, Orange Prowler Logo Valve Caps, Ceramic Brake Pads, Prowleronline.com License Bracket, Eric Wolf Chrome Trans Cover, Mopar Hitch and Trailer. |

Mike & Kim, thanks for all your work and planning. It made for a great event for everyone. It was worth every one of the 1050 miles to and from Lancaster. Glad I was able to share the mini katavan east with the Archers, the Buerhles and Reba-cat. And the kats & van trip back with the Buerhles. Most of all, glad to see old friends and meet many new friends with their cats. We had three great families with us this weekend: John and Shelly Buerhle with Mark, Michael and Kelsey; Darcy and Nancy Kline with Josh & Jake; and Dave and Brenda Mills with Craig. Nothing better than cruisin with 20+ kats Always see something new and learn something new about your car at these events. Gary Anderson had a really neat pinstriped, color-flaked flame on his Candy Kat. Noticed that bumpers-on was the majority at this gathering. First time I can remember yellow(2) and black(1) being in the minority in the colors category. I really enjoyed the Railroad Museum tour and talking with the engine craftsmen as well as riding the parlor car the next evening. Looking forward to seeing y’all down the road. Anxious for Cruisin the Coast and what is sounding like another great gathering of new and familiar people and kats. Even before that is the local Germantown car show in September. ------------------ |
