I just bought a Inca Gold last week that I worked out in trade. Its a long story about the trade. So I landed up with this as my only color choice. I'm not to excited about the color so I want to do something with it. I don't want to lose value though. I also don't want to paint the whole car either and want something other than flames. Any ideas? Thanks for your input. |

Take it to the best body shop around and have it painted yellow or Candy Apple Red. |

Congrats on the new Prowler. I like all the colors. Camo could not keep a Prowler from looking good. You might want to check out the Prowlin Friends Scrapbook section and look for the "Hot Bras by Kal" pictures posted by Laddie. They are gorgeous. You could also do a search for painted bras and find some pictures of Kats wearing them out here somewhere. They are a little too much for me to afford right now but I think they are a great way to change the appearance of your Kat without making it permanent. Hope this helps. ------------------ |

quote: Perhaps a two-tone (like the black-tie or Woodward) or a fade to gold or fade to black paint job. Either way, if done correctly you probably would be in the same place (costwise) if you had gotten the color you actually wanted. ------------------ Driving a car is just transportation, |

Given this weeks pole, the quick answer is just way to easy. Besides Larry already beat me to it! Check out the site, there are plenty of ideas. Flames with Chromillusion paint might be different than the flames you were thinking of. Check out Laddie’s hot bras scrapbook section for possibly putting a custom paint job on that you can take off. There are several vendors that have add-ons that you can use to change your appearance. Check the vendor list. I’d take a Prowler in any color over any car in even my favorite color (which happens to be Midnight Blue) any day! By the way, congratulations! ------------------ This message has been edited by whealy on 08-05-2002 at 04:31 PM |

ProwlinNM, Welcome to POA...I guess that you didn't know what you got yourself into, huh??? Well, you've came to the right place. By the end of this year, I wouldn't be surprise if you be on Foodstamps . Here at POA, we all are after we drained our wallet on Mods. Good Luck. Join the local Prowler event and you will know what I mean. Enjoy with your new Prowler. ------------------ |

Before you write off the gold, GET IT OUT IN THE SUN It is a color that is very becoming. In My Opinion: they are all good colors. Not my personal choice but I have not voted this week on color I like the least because I like ALL PROWLERS. I didn't like the gold when I 1st seen it but after following Jerry around at Crazy Horse last year I kind of like it....We even have an Inca Gold Dream Cruiser And with some of the older muscle cars that were not the most desirable new sure are now....could this repeat ????? |

oooh my me......if you were to give me say ..$3500.00...and three weeks..... with your gold gremlin...it could turn it in to a princely prowler ....one of a kind....the center piece of the ball....and at the end of the dance on the stroke of midnight.......it could ..if you so desire be turned back to a ... GOLD GREMLIN.... |

ProwlinNM......congratulations on your new gold cat and welcome to the POA!!! Ignore these guys..........lol! Here are some facts about the color Gold........maybe they will prompt an idea for your car!! "No metal has inspired more reverence or greed than gold. In Egypt and Rome, the Inca empire and California, in India and South Africa, and now even in space, gold has been precious for it's beauty and utility." The color Gold stands for illumination and wisdom and it is the color of happiness and sunshine!! |

Heck, the best thing you can do with a gold is to wax it real shiny and prepare to spend a lot of time talking to people! It is a real crowd pleaser. Alley Cat is right, but luckily not only chrome looks good on a gold, but black accessories will provide a very nice contrast to the gold. And do get it in the sun...it glows! ------------------ |

CJ, A/C (and others): Thanks for the kind words. I was getting really upset. Thought about selling my Kat and getting something else. I hear www.chevette-online.com is a kind and accepting site (lol). Kevin ------------------ |

I think that gold colored Chevette is actually rust and doesn't shine nearly as nice in the sunlight. |

There are always SHIMMERS... the easiest and least expensive way to individualize your beloved Gold Cat. If you want some Gold (or any color) samples, just give me a call @ 800 669 3540 and I will ship you some. There was never been an ugly Prowler built as the color is just on the surface.... the real beauty is the engineering. Best wishes, Jay |
