I absolutely HATE looking at the damn Warning label that they PAINTED on the visor....Ugh! I love how the biggest warning and danger of the car is the friggin air-bags. Your over-protective government at work!

Anyway.....I am creating a custom black and silver Prowler logo with cat out of vinyl and will paste that sucker right over the visor warnings. It is going to look so much cooler!

I'll post pics when I finish. BTW: does any visor cover exist already?

I have the streamline designs visor label covers installed. I will try and take pictures and post them tonight. Black and silver just as you described. You can get them in several variations such as cat large and Prowler small of visa versa and more.

Just remove the visors, much nicer looking without them!

Then remove the windshield wipers, and use RAIN-X.

Originally, I used black color shoe "dye" (not polish) and that works to cover. Remove visors, apply dye, two or three coats, re-install.

I almost ordered some logo labels to cover them, but realized my car does not have visors....looks much better and those huge bettles smack you on your forehead without them.

Grrowl...You Rock! That's exactly what I was looking for! And my design looks a lot like that so screw it...I'm just gonna order from them.

Thanks a million for that link!

BTW: I like the visors...They help deflect wind upward a bit more...and I won't have any beetle dents on my forehead!

BT,
Quite welcome.
How far are you from Dulles Airport?
Do you know about the car show 9/21?

-GRROWL

P.S. - please post how you like the sticker. I'll probably do the same.

Grrowl....I'm about an hour away from Dulles I think. maybe I can make it 9/21! Keep me posted...My email is on file here.

I still plan to cruise to Bert's Drive-in in Mechanicsville, MD this Friday. That may be less than an hour for you! Check out the info from the Southern Knights site...

"Southern Maryland

Cruise every Friday night during the summer! The Southern Knights Rod and Custom Car Club sponsor a cruise every Friday night from 5:30 - until, at Berts 50's Drive-In, Mechanicsville, MD. The Southern Knights provide parking control, with reserved parking for all rods, classics, and custom cars. Free soft drinks for all show car occupants, courtesy of Bert's. While you're there, enjoy a meal from Bert's extensive menu, and finish up with Bert's famous Ice Cream. To get there, follow MD 5 south through Mechanicsville. Bert's is on the left, look for the Flamed out Yellow '53 Merc on the roof."

I can't wait to get those visor stickers!

I think there is a photo of the label on SteamlineDesign's web site . . . of the BLUE KAT. I had him do these for my Prowler and then he put them in his product line. Rich (owner of Streamline) is a great guy, and a pleasure to do business with. If you have an idea for something for Prowlers that he can add to his line, just suggest it to him. He made custom air bag covers for my Jeep Grand Cherokee about a year ago.

Cool.

One more question then....

Are the color rear bumper lettering inserts sold anywhere?

Just to let you know, there is a better way to get rid of the labels and still keep the visor, with no ugly covers...

Seriously...

I removed the label by soaking it with Goof Off. You can buy it at Lowe's, Home Depot, etc. And just soak it on the label and then wipe it off with a rag. Took me about 2-3 different soakings, but eventually the whole label came off with no residue.

I unscrewed mine and laid them down flat to make it easier too... :-)

Hope that helps...

I hate to admit I once again agree with Alley Cat. Mine have been off since May 2001 and I have NEVER missed them. To me when yuou put them down it blocks my vision of the road. I just keep a hat with a visor tucked behind the seat in case I need it. Also been wiperless for almost three months - RainEx is a woonderful thing!

Happy Prowling

Marty

Pumpkin.....Cool solution!

One question. If Pat drives, do you have to switch the visors around?

Anyway, I ordered the vinyl covers online. I can't wait to get them.

Well to be honest, we took the visors off so we will face that problem down the road. The car looks really cool with then off, and less wind in the cab.

LESS wind? Hmmmm. I was getting a kick out of pointing the visors upward to deflect the wind so it doesn't even ruffle my hair....
