Woops. Kinda kissed the side of the garage, and scratched the front bumper. Are these painted? Don't have any physical damage to the piece, just two very visible scratches where the finish has been stripped. Any ideas on the best way to repair? Is it just a paint job? Many thanks. |

Take them off and get them painted to match your car and clear coated. It will look much better. Are your bumpers grey or black? |

They're painted. As long as there's no physical damage beyond the scratch, I'd suggest trying the Langka or Mother's touch-up. I do seem to remember that the touch-up paint (either gray or black, you'll need the brush-on type) is a standard Mopar item. Good luck. You can always have them repainted (or painted another color) if it doesn't work to your satisfaction. - GRROWL |

Prowler junkies -- mentioning bumper color -- the bumpers on my Mulholland are gray, but the Mulholland at a local dealership (about 50 lower VIN so perhaps 2 months older than mine) has black bumpers. Am I just looking at a difference in the dealer prep or do some blue prowlers have black bumpers and some gray? Just curious. |

I was under the impression that the last grey bumpers were used on the 99's and all the 2000 and newer were black but I have absolutely no evidence to support what I believe. That is interesting. I think someone posted awhile back that their hood badge was different than all the other ones on a Woodward? or possibly a Black Tie? I guess anything is possible. |

All `97 & `99 had gray bumpers. Starting with the 2000 models they went to black bumpers. They are not a dark rich looking black. If you have a Mulholland with true gray bumpers they have been changed or when they built it they found some really old bumpers at the plant. They are painted and I have painted the rear bumpers on my car Gloss black. Much improvement over the flat gray on the `99 |

I get more compliments on my painted bumpers than any other single thing I have done to the Kat. |

I've compared mine with pictures in the scrapbook and guess my bumpers are black. Besides, if they were 99 or earlier they should say Plymouth. I think the dealer used Armor All or a similar product to make the bumpers on the other Prowler look shiny black while mine are a semi-gloss finish. Thanks for the info. |

TriJim... go to Walmart... look in the "RV" section and pick you up some "Protectall" ... trust me on this one! Great stuff... for the bumpers, windows, body, leather... does it all.... Wax on... wax off... and no 'white residue' Leaves a great finish ------------------ |

I've been using Meguire's Car Cleaner Wax on my bumpers. It cleans them up and brings the color back. Works a lot better than trying to use Armor All. Also, keeps the TEXAS size bugs from sticking. ------------------ |
