Love the line:
"For sheer performance, it's hard to beat a Chevy Camaro SS, Corvette, or BMW M5; but for both style and performance, the Prowler stands above."

how many Prowler owners bought it to be their daily driver?

This one did!!! And loves every minute of it! What a way to start and end the work day, but I have to admit - the urge to play hookey and go cruising is strong.

Good write up I thought,,,,,,,,,,,,,,except,,,,,,,,,,,
"huge Auto Meter tach" ???

Must have been Marty's or Dave Ridge's cat, as I think the standard tach is too small. JMO

So that's how all those miles got put on my car. I don't remember giving the press corp permission to drive my KAT.

Marty - your tach is awesome looking. What was the cost to upgrade?

Bought the larger chrome tach at local speed shop for $85.00. I believe you can find them in Summit or Jeg's cataloques for less than that. In order to use tilt function on steering wheel I used a Dremel tool to cut 1/4 inch off the chrome casing. Also, I never checked (don't know how)the tach to be sure it is calibrated properly. Based on the RPM's car should be running with performance gears it shopuld read 3100 at 80 MPM. Mine reads 3300, yet it still shifts at WOT at 6400. In any case I like the look and don;t need reading glasses to see tach!!

Here is an old post on subject. There are a couple more if you want to do a search.

I had a new C5 Vette, I really didnt like the Corvette look. When I saw the Prowler at the 2002 LA Auto, I knew I made a big mistake. The Vette had to go and it did in 3 days!
