The last Prowler sold is listed in auctions of this month's Automobile magazine.

I didn't know it came with a trailer. nor the $200K price tag (I thgouth it wsa a mere $175K - perhaps the trialer was an additiona $25K)

Anyway, your famous now Mike (excpet they don't know where the cara is).

How about an expose with Automobile on all your Prowler's and of course your garage?? I'm sure other's in here would love to see it. I'm still in awe of it.

I believe that 200K is a lot more accurate than the 175K folks talk about. This is the only auction I have ever heard of where the buyers premium has not been considered. Almost every auction costs much more than the hammer price. Got to say I think it's worth every penny. And the trialer makes the set!

$25,000 of the $200,000 was Christie's fee. The bid for the car and trailer was $175,000.

So Mike bid $175K and then got a bill for $200K (sorry, I'm not literate on how auctions work). It wuold seem to me, that whatever the bid price was (say $175K) that they would then take there cut out of thta and not tac it on.

In any event, I'm glad Mike got the car and I would love to see it sometime.

Mike, any thought on doing a spread for Automobile magazine (or any other) on your cars and garage? I'm sure it would make a number of enthusiasts across the land simply drool.

A lot of auctions have a buyer's premium and it is stated up front. I think the buyer's premium was 19% on this auction which put it closer to $ 35,000 for a total of almost $ 210K. Then you have to add the taxes and shipping.
I don't hear Mike complaining about the price. He wanted the car and he got it, thank goodness.

The garage is still a work in progress, but we are making progress! The insulation is going on yesterday and today. When it's finished, maybe 6 weeks or so, all of the cars will be on the ground and all at home. That's going to be soooo cool!!

There will be web cams inside, so anyone can check on the kats at any time.

CJ's right on the auction. That's a really big fee, but the 175,000 all went to MS. So MS is very happy and so are we!

Our garages are very different - except both contain or will the car with more smiles per mile than any! Thanks, Mike for providing a great place to share info and meet great people.
