I have recently had the runflats replaced with Dunlops.

Waiting for a new low tire pressure sensor, I purchased tires and ceramic pads and made an appointment with my local 5-star Chrysler dealership to install all. The week after the installation I was detailing the inside of the rims and actually scratched myself on something. Upon close inspection I had four large gouges on the inside back of the left front wheel. I immediately inspected the other three rims and each have atleast what appears to be snake bite marks in four spots on each rim.

I brought this to the attention of the service manager, and she knew exactly why and what caused the damage. Her response was;

this is nothing,
it is to be expected,
nothing I can do about it,
there is no way I am buying you four new rims,
it would be cheaper to get the rims rims rechromed,
I may be willing to assist you with the left front rim but I am not doing anything about the others.

I told her it wasn't expected by me and the car didn't come in with damage so why should I expect it to leave with damage? Also, she had the front rotors turned prior to installing the the new pads, now I get serface rust on the front rotors. I do not get anything on the rear (I didn't do anything to the rear), is this normal?

Anyone have any suggestions?

Rust on rotors,,,,,,,,,normal. The rest, probably hung out to dry. That is why it's important to be there when they are working on your car. When you drive it out after service, they usually aren't going to admit they did anything wrong to it. Not what you want to hear, but I'd say you are pixxing against the wind now.

What an attitude she has I wouldn't let it go, go to the dealer principle and if he won't help do you have a service called better business service there if so contact them plus the news papers bring as much attention to them as possible maybe then they will fix their screw up. You took it there expecting quaility work not that BS..

The rust is common the rotors in the front are steel the rears are aluminum

NOT to be 'expected", and you shouldn't HAVE to watch what they do .. I wouldn't want somebody over my shoulder, makes me more prone to a foul up ... would NEVER have a dealer do tire work ... go to specialty tire - specific place (like KO Tire in EGV, IL).

Do NOT stop with the service person, as mentioned above, go abover her untill all 4 are replaced and then have the work done elsewhere if they can NOT guarantee no marks.

Agree with Dardy, go postal. For a small "fee" I'll be happy do the obnoxious and nasty work for you if your efforts fail. Seriously, you can't let them get away with that kind of attitude and service. Be forceful

5 star dealers like to keep that title. I used to have my Jeep serviced at one, and after every visit, I would get a form to fill out rating the service. Pain in the a$$ actually, but I guess this is what they did to keep up the rating. If you make enough noise, I bet you get results. Good Luck!
