BANNERS WILL BE IMPACTED AND WOULD LIKE TO ALERT ALL TO PLEASE COPY THE RESPECTIVE BANNERS TO YOUR PC AND UPLOAD THEM TO THE POA SERVER AND HOST THEM FROM THERE.

THIS WILL HAPPEN SOMETIME TOMORROW AFTERNOON.

If Dan hosts your banner, then when his web site is down, you banner will not appear on the POA web site. I assume that it will be a small box with an X in it that you have probably seen before. My assumption is that the pictures will reappear when Dan’s site comes back up unless he is making changes that will prevent the hosting of banners.

What I was trying to say is the banners that light up your screen are being powered by my server dpena.com (A few are not). If something happens to dpena.com ..... the banners will disappear and not show up.

I wanted all to copy the banner by right mousing and saving image file to a directory your PC. Then proceed to upload them to the POA just as if you were loading a picture. You then would take the new path link and apply it to your signature.

Mike Krehels server would now host your banner or make it show up on your screen.

PLEASE SAVE YOUR BANNERS TO YOUR PC AND UPLOAD THEM TO THE POA AS YOU WOULD A REGULAR PICTURE. YOU THEN JUST USE THE LINK GIVEN TO YOU AND UPDATE YOUR SIGNATURE WITH THIS NEW LINK.

I spoke with Dan this afternoon and we will move all of the banners over to the POA server. We will make all the changes for you, so please don't edit or change your signatures.

Dan will still be available to make custom banners for anyone else that wants one.

Mike - what about those of us that have already copied, uploaded and inserted our banners on POA server? Should we revert back or just leave it alone?

I've already moved mine as well. If the location needs to be adjusted let me know. I can take care of the user settings.

It is very weird to be on receiving end. I've been so used to just being on the giving end. I have found out I got some pride left in me. Very weird

Mike Krehel told me he would host me for free and I just could not accept his offer. I did not want to be a free loader. I will work with Mike to see how we can figure something out.

I want to thank Mike Krehel, Brad (a.k.a bbrighton) and Dean Prodromides for thier support of my work. You all contacted me telling me you guys would help me with hosting. Very cool and never thought anybody would really care.

I think from the support I'm receiving, things might turn around. We shall see how things flow.

Dan.........if nothing else works out, reconsider Mike's offer. He wouldn't make the offer if he didn't mean it! It's just another example of Prowler owners helping Prowler owners.........

I figure you and Mike _will_ work something out, but in the event that doesn't happen, consider my offer a standing offer -- just drop me a line directly and we'll see what we can work out.

Hell, if nothing else, we could barter hosting for graphic work.

A little more seriously, it sounds like you have several options to keep your sites alive; pick the one that works best for you and get back to it.
