2003 National Prowler event is being worked on already, so I'm thinking ahead. I propose that the 2004 national event be held in Texas. So many of the Texas owners have driven untold miles to attend many events, and its time for another payback for their continued support of the POA. How about the "Texas Triangle Tour 2004"? Dallas/Ft Worth Three great Texas cities, plenty to do and see, great cruising, and our chance to visit the Krehel Prowler Museum. Will not matter if Mike and Judy aren't home, I'll pick the lock to the museum for us to see. Ed can payoff the security company from prosecuting, and PK can be the grounds bouncer Being serious now, your thoughts and opinions please. V ------------------ |

Cool idea AC!! We've got 7 acres here at our house and if you want to have a BBQ or a get together here we could do that. Will be glad to help out with any planning, etc. Thanks Cous for great idea! Tami ------------------ 2001 Eddie Bauer Expedition |

Good idea. I just hope it is sometime during the 1st 2 weeks of July. They shut the plant down and force everyone to take their vacation then. How about trip to Prowler Museum? is the 2003 still planned on for Gatlinburg area? ------------------ |

Dave, You got to do it....... God's country - and that's from a Yankee.... Three of my five kids were born in Texas - hated to leave. Go back fairly frequently on business (EDS HQ is in Plano). Great Beer, Great Food, Beautiful Sky's and some of the nicest people in the world.... Let's do Dallas, Austin, San Antonio and Houston - isn't that where the car museum is....? Man, I can't wait ! Sonny Bryans in Dallas, Iron Works in Austin, Little Hips (burgers you will not believe) in San Antonio..... and County Line in Houston.... TEXAS HERE WE COME !!!! John |

I don't know, John. Both my kids have been in Texas with the Air Force and both of them hated it. So I guess there are differing opinions. ------------------ |

Well, Bummer..... It's not PA - no hills (except in Austin), no pretty change of seasons etc... but, I can't explain.... 320 clear days out of 365 - beautiful sky's, great entertainment, great food, and again - I can't say enough about Texan's - they were all wonderful to me, Actually, I started the Dallas Pontiac Association with a bunch of other car nuts - they can't believe I purchased a Plymouth..... check out http://www.dapa.org/ I PROMISE you - if you go, you'll love it. |

Canada,,,,great idea for 2005. The Great La Ronge Tour 2005, in beautiful Saskatchewan. We can put Tony and Peter G., Prowler Keith, Wild Bill, and Brian K. in charge of this one. How about in January, 2005? We could go ice fishing and have Prowler ice racing events. Seriously, we can have it open to discussion and opinions.

I purpose some place more centralized... Texas is to far for most people. I say some place like Detriot, Virgina Beach or Carsile, PA. ------------------ |

Texas could work. Austin is a fun city, San Antonio has the Riverwalk, you can tube down the Guatalupe river in New Branfels. Obviously POA has a lot of people in the Houston and Dallas that know of great places in their areas. As far as 2003, Gatlinburg has been talked about, but we have no POA member that lives there. We visit a several times every couple of years and could arrange for lodging and perhaps a day trip to the Biltmore Estate in North Carolina. We need someone to help plan other outings and figure dates. Weekend traffic is TERRIBLE. We would probably need to schedule traveldays for a Sat/Sun with events during week and depart Thursday or Friday AM. Any suggestions or comments would be good. Steven: We live an hour north of downtown Dallas and I'm not sure how far Bristol is from Indianapolis, but it takes us around 13 to 13.5 hours to get to Indy from our house (Ken sister and brother-in-law live there). Hope that helps. Ken knows the guy who owns South Fork Ranch, J.R. Duncan (he was the original owner and his corporation bought it back) so we can probably get something figured out with them for a cookout and day out there. They also have car shows quite frequently, so we might be able to do something with that too.
