I sold my 2000 Prowler and 2001 Viper. I am thinking about a Mulholland. Someone please tell me about them. Also I need to know what the dealer cost is on them. Thanks ------------------ |

Terry, I own an Orange one...... love the Mulholland Blue. I have seen 2001 Plymouths sell for 38K with few miles on them. One just sold at Bankston with 400 miles for $38,300. The 2002 Chryslers are selling for 42 and up depending on where you find them.... Good luck. John |

We just bought a new 2K1 Mulholland about a month ago from a local dealer. The sticker was $46K+, and the invoice was $42K+. We offered $37K even and the dealer thought about it for a whole 10 seconds or so before selling it to us! We still wonder if he'd have taken $35K, but are still very happy with the deal. We love the blue cat and have had tons of people say how much the love the color. But then again, most have never seen a Prowler so probably any color would get these reactions. No surprise that keeping the blue clean is pretty tough, but if you garage and cover it all the time like most people do, shouldn't be a problem. I think the blue takes away some of the options for interior and exterior modifications since chrome is one of your few choices for accent parts like bezels and such. The dark blue just doesn't have much contrast with the grey/black parts. No matter, still lots of options an we love the car, but there are no bad colors of course. Hope that helps for what it's worth. Good luck! ------------------ |

Great idea buying a Mulholland Don't forget the hand painted pin stripe. It is signed in the back in the middle of the decklid (really small). Also, it is the only production model with a different color top - dark blue (except for the very last kat, electric blue, it also has a dark blue top). All other tops are black. I love my Mulholland ------------------ |

gmchapin’s price is the best I have heard. I know because we bought ours about the same time and I have been curious what others paid. I know I got mine for invoice minus hold back and thought I got a great deal until I saw gmchapin’s post. There’s at least one on ebay that’s been there for a second time that’s up in Toronto with a by now price close to gmshapin’s price. You might be able to get that pretty low. As for the contrast in the black and blue … yea! Me too! I really want to “change” that appearance. I’ve been talking with lots of people. First I wanted to chrome the bumpers and fender guard. Then I find out you can’t chrome the fenders. Then I want to paint and am told I can’t paint the fender guards! I’m just about ready to take all the bumpers off and chrome the follow cnote6’s lead at chroming the fender guard. ------------------ |

Thanks for all the replies. I really appreciate them. Auto Trader.com has quite a few Mulhollands for sale now. Wonder why so many. The problem with these cars is the adds say 4 miles, 20 miles etc. But when you call they have 100 to 300 miles on them and have never been titled. The dealers have had them for months, some for a year. I know the dealers are driving them and possibly letting friends drive them. I feel that a car with that many miles, without knowing how they were put on, is a used car. The first few miles are critical to break-in and who knows if they were abused during break-in. Anyway, I'm still looking for the Mulholland or a Candy red. I'm sure there are great deals on both out there. Probably much better deals on the Mulholland. I think $37,000 for the Mulholland is not out of line. Thanks Terry ------------------ |

Since this is a recent Mullholand lover's post, i thought i would throw this in here. Have you seen the interior on this Mulholland that's up for sale on ebay? Mulholland with a grey interior ------------------ This message has been edited by whealy on 06-11-2002 at 02:43 PM |

I am not convinced that the interior on this kat is any different than what is done at the factory. I think the pictures may be deceiving. Additionally, in the table listing the features it says it has a black top but when you look at the pictures of the interior, you can see a bit of the top and it is blue. ------------------ This message has been edited by CWatsonJr on 06-11-2002 at 04:24 PM |

Good point Cliff. I sent an email to the seller and they stated that it’s strictly a factory interior. However, when you look at the Blue interior gauge cover compared rest of the interior you see a major color difference than if it had been black I think. Of course it’s maybe just wishful thinking on my part as I think a silver interior would look cool. ------------------ |
