I just got back from spending the day at Churchill Downs with several POA members. Had to skip the rest of the festivities. What a great time. The only real problem was the weather leading up to the event. The best part for me was the procession from the hotel to the track. I’ll leave the details for Marty other than to say his efforts as well as Rebecca’s made the day all the better. Thanks to you both!

I`ll second that comment. We just got home to Pennsylvania from Louisville. Marty & Rebecca Usher deserve a big pat on the back for all of their hard work. You guys made all of us feel welcome in your neighborhood. Many Thanks......................Margie & Scott Ambrose

I would also like to thank Marty and Rebecca. We arrived home at 6:15 this evening after splitting off from Skuter at Greensburg. I would also like to offer a special thanks to Larry and Sue Mayes; Steve and Katie Clark; and whoever was behind me when the infamous trailer latch explosion occurred. Any of you new trailer owners out there....be careful. The latch problem is still there.

Louisville was a blast in spite of the rain Friday. Congrats to Marty and Wildcat for placing in the Top 50 awards. And Congrats to Marty and all the POA members for the POA having the best club participation. It was good seeing our old friends amd making new ones. Now on to Colorado.

We got home this evening. What a great time. We had 14 cars at the distillery. What a great ride that was down hiway 31. It is really a neat place to tour. The weather was a lot better today. We met some interesting new folks this weekend and they all seemed to have a great time and they fit right in with the rest of us.
Neat people and a great time. Thanks Marty and Rebecca for all the hard work.
We had 41 cats at Churchill Downs, I think, plus several Vipers. Great turnout for absolutely lousy weather Friday, when most people arrived. Saturday was much better and today was much better than Sat.
Can someone tell me how to get to Colorado before I have to unpack the cat?

Ed,

Jump on 64. Take 70 when you get to the big arch in the road. Then take 70 until you see mountains! Who needs a GPS?

Ditto....

Shelley and I had a great time and wish we could have stayed for the Sunday Cruise. We got up early and had a wonderful breakfast. Thanks Marty and Rebecca - I know how much goes into making one of these successful and you did a wonderful job...... BTW, great choice for Dinner Saturday. The company and the food were excellent.

It was great to finally meet everyone - at least now I know who is who when I read these - If I can just keep the two Mill's and the two Gene's straight in my mind I'll do alright........

Sincerely,

John

PS. For those of you who made fun of me while I waxed my car for the first time - when we pulled into the driveway my 7 year old son said ":wow Dad, did you put some of that Shiny Wax on it ? It LOOKS REALLY SHINY!"

PSS. My face looks like this after the sun and Wind Saturday

Bill

good to see you catch on quick

MARTY AND REBECCA Thank You for a wonderful weekend. Rain on way there, rain on the way home Dry the whole time there, for me at least.

It takes a lot of work to put on an event of any size, the more you do the more the planning. Marty did a great job. Was it perfect, no it never is, too many factors we have NO control over, but we had a great time.

So many 1st timers, Good to meet you, you repeats, good to see you too

Whealy, thanks for the response and directions. I have gone that route too many times. We are going to go to Indy and then take US 36 the rest of the way. I think I have the Clarks (all 4) and Tom Mills convinced so now we will have to work on everyone else.
Less traffic, more sights. More relaxing, no McDonald's or other fast food. Travelling the old time way. Seeing America.
I have been lost in every state and several foreign countries, so it is no big deal if we make a wrong turn.
I do appreciate your sincere help, seriously. Thanks.

Marty, I meant to tell you that your car looks MUCH better in person than what the picture portrays. It looks good. Sandy commented how cool it looked when we were side by side at the track after the first round of pictures. I forgot to mention that to you. Looks good. I like it.

Ed,

Never lost in a foreign county … haven’t you been lost in Wisconsin? It’s like going into Czechoslovakia. (Hope someone remembers the “Stripes” reference here). Seriously though, you were the one person that I wanted to meet from the board that I didn’t get a chance to say hello. I hardly saw you all day. Do we want to know where you were? Maybe next time when you’re not so popular!

Marty,

That’s why it was so fun.

Whealy, while we were in the infield at the track, I attempted to count the Prowlers about 10 times and I could never make it to the end of the first row. It seems I kept meeting people I knew and I would start talking. (Hard to believe, I know). My name tag slowed me down, also, due to the wind resistance, lol. Marty did a great job on that, too. Sorry we did not get to chat.
Fixxum, thanks for the compliment. lol. You fit right in with MeanGene, BigFoot A/C and the rest.
