They just keep piling up …

Anyway, after my first CD player would not eject the cartridge, I received a new player. Now it seems it will play about 2/3 of a son and start skipping. I can scan forward a few songs and after about 30 seconds it start playing again. This has happened while going over rough road and sitting at a stop light. It has happened with older CD’s as well as recently purchased CD’s. I am not currently using any self recorded CD’s.

Anyone else have this issue?

Did you or the Dealer remove the "transportation screws" from the replacement unit before re-installing it? This is an Alpine built unit... when shipped from the Service Center to the Dealer, the unit has "transportation screws" in place that must be removed. If they have not been removed, the CD chassis cannot "float" on the internal suspension system and "skipping" will occur over bumps as well as other performance concerns may be noticed as well.

Best wishes, Jay

Yeller Cat,

Where is the transportation screw. I understand the concept, I just don’t know where it would be on this unit. I know the unit is easy enough to remove as I did just that in attempting to fix the first one. So if you can point me where so I don’t just take out all the screws …

My CD player problem:

While adjusting the driver's window up or down, the player seems to stall or slight pause while the switch is engaged. Its OK when I'm changing the passenger's side window from the driver's side control.

Got any ideas??

thanks

Could Be an electrical problem... Could be a crossed wire! Ed Monohan is a pro at crossed wires He might be able to help...
Might also be grounded wrong... Something isn't right...

Since the weather is always nice in Phoenix, the top should always be down and therefore so should the windows be down. Quit playing with the windows. There, I helped.
