With the return of the bug season soon upon us, I was wondering what if anything Kat owners have done for a bug screen. Is there a Mopar bug screen kit available (hopefully something that hides behind the grill)

I have a friend that would, on long trips, apply SaranWrap, or other type plastic food wrap, to the front area of his '93 vette. When he got to where he was going, would peel it off and discard. Reapply for the return trip.

I am opposed to bras due to the marks they can leave and the need to remove and let dry if caught in a rainstorm (although, I was VERY tempted to have one done up like Laddie's ... two big thumbs up!) ... but my friend's approach was novel, cheap and successful!

Alley Cat suggested using a piece of the plastic that butchers use in the meat case. It is a woven piece of plastic with holes so that air still gets thru. Butchers put it down in the meat case and then put the containers of meat on top of it.

Ed is correct, I use Vexar mesh plastic netting in front of my radiator year round. Go to a grocery store with self-service meat cases, ask the meat mgr. if you can buy 4 feet of the netting used under the meat packages. He'll probably give it to you free,,,,couldn't cost $1. Cut to radiator dimensions and just slide down from the top side. Usually comes in red or green, but will turn gray over time.

People were asking for alternatives and solutions to minimize bug splatter. If you put it on like a slob, yes, it will look tacky. Or like a large condom on a little pric*. Put it on smooth and just like the 3M stuff everyone raves about ... you won't know it is there until you get up close. It was just offered up as something that has been seen as creative and inexpensive as a solution for road bugs.
