Today it happened. I was sitting at a red light, looked over to my right, caught the back of a blue Kat as it turned right. The owner COULDN'T have missed me, and didn't even honk to say hello. It was about 80 degrees today, and this person had the top up. I was truly disappointed. No wave, much less a honk to say hello. It's owners like that that I worry about. Some people are going to think that we are ALL like that. But, I'm doing MY best to show otherwise. I make every effort to say hello or wave or talk to ANYONE that shows interest. Just wanted to share this. ------------------ |

too bad JP. To use an Italian phrase, some people just "think who they are" I followed an Orange into a local Micky D's the other day and made a new friend. Turns out he just got his Cat and lives near by. I told him about the site, now the rest is up to him. Dont sweat it-his loss ------------------ |

Same thing happened to me. Had a purple whiz past me on the highway, nothing as he went by. Stepped on it and caught up to him laying low with seat reclined, purple fuzzy dice hanging from mirror, dirt all over the car(what a shame). Finally got him to give a half-hearted wave and the he took off . License plate said LVN LRG. I guess that's just his opinion - not mine. ------------------ |

I've had the same thing happen to me in Morristown NJ. I pulled up to a light next to a Red Kat and said hi to the guy. Told him that I liked his Kat and his response to me was that Red was the only color for a Kat. I have a black one so it would have been OK if he was jokeing around when he said it but he was dead serious. Not even a smile. So be it. Voodoo |

JP, It could be worse, I know 4-5 Cats in my sandbox 10-15 miles from me, contacted them by e-mail, POA site, and some in person. Except for those who meet me in person, I couldn't figure it out why they didn't want to cruise! - Go figure. ------------------ |

JP: Any time you want to go for a run, head south to North Texas - we are just over the border about 30 minutes, or we can meet you some weekend. You can come prowl with the Texans! Tami and Ken F. ------------------ |

My favorite line... "You meet the nicest people when you own a Prowler"... however, the following may be applicable... "You (most of the time) meet the nicest people when you own a Prowler"... remembering that some of the Prowlers you encounter are "rentals" and not "owners". Sincerely, Jay ------------------ |

Hey JP: We are planning on going to the one next Saturday evening at Pappa's. We missed the one last month - we were out of town and that would have been our first. Will you be coming down? If you need a place to stay - we have plenty of room. Just let us know. T&K ------------------ |

Had the same thing happen to me. Cruising down the hwy., two lane, and we see a red cat coming at us. I had a corvett and every corvett owner waves at each other. So I'm thinking the same. WRONG. I wave and he goes buy like I'm not there. Never figured another prowler owner would be like that. ------------------ |

Back when I had a Miata, when you would see another one, the drivers would hit the button to flip the headlights up and down. You 'winked' at each other. As for not all Prowler owners being friendly, I'm afraid we have some examples of that right here on the forum... Mike ------------------ |

You're right! When I had a vette I always either got a thumbs up or a wave from another owner. It was like one big brotherhood. Hopefully the unfriendly ones will come around in time. ------------------ |

I have lost count of how many Prowler owners I have given my number and email address to that have never called. Many have come up to me at cruises or car shows to tell me they have a Prowler but don't have it with them at the time. This was the reason I resigned as a State Director of the other club. I became very disallusioned. I just figure its thier loss. On the other hand, I have made some really good friends. Most recently and most especially Gordon (aka Superkat) and Annie Karns . ------------------ |

I've only seen one Prowler in Hawaii (Oahu) and I know it was a rental car. I didn't have my Kat yet but don't expect the driver would have been to friendly. Most tourist that end up on my side of the island are usually lost and just want to get back to Honolulu. Strangley enough, one was spotted here in the Middle East. It was a black one. I don't think the driver was to friendly. Maybe we should have taken it as a war trophy. Howard ------------------ |

I hear you! After 3 years of owning a C5 Corvette I am used to getting stiffed! I would wave to all Vettes.... very few would even look at me. So far in the Prowler I have only seen one on the road at the same time... I waved.... he looked surprised..... but he did wave. Hell, I find myself waving at Prowlers even when I'm in my other cars! They usually wave back still! ------------------ |

When I had a Camry I used to wave at all the other Camry owners but I got wore out. Then I bought a Caravan and a Taurus. I just couldn't keep up. ------------------ |
