Ok here's the deal. As most of you know, I put my cat up for sale to buy a new Viper. The other day a man gave me a deposit and he was to pick up the cat the next day (after he went to the bank to get a cashiers check). I didn't sleep at all that night and I had to check on the cat several times before daylight. It was crazy, I could now get my Viper and all I could do was worry about my Prowler. The next day the gentleman(he was very nice) could not arrange financing and the deal was off. Only thing is, I was very happy that the deal could not go through. I will probably get the Viper eventually but the cat stays. It is no longer for sale and I only hope she can forgive me for even thinking about letting her go. Thanks to Curtis and all the others who helped comfort me in my time of "temporary insanity" but I have been given a clean bill of health by my shrink(ok by my wife), and I'm a happy prowler owner once again. Doc-man.....I went through the exact same senario I just did'nt post to say I was selling the Kat. Here's the deal... maybe it will sound familiar to you. I decided I had to have a Viper...So to keep me from being killed by my shrink (wife) I decided I'll just sell the kat and I'm 1/2 way there with the cash...no big deal. Well contacted a Viper dealer, they had the GTS that I wanted and the deal was layed out. I would have liked more $ for the Kat but this would get me in a Viper right away. I could'nt sleep, I was constantly checking on the Kat in the garage, looking at her from all angles. I am now back from insantity as well and the Kat stays. I will get the Viper sometime but not with selling the Prowler. So my litle kitty is safe at home, my mind is at rest with a new plan and I will work hard to figure out how I can get the GTS snake in the garage. Its a good challenge with good rewards. As Larry Flint said to all the born agains out there, just get yourself some lithium and you'll be just fine LOL. I think the decision to keep the kitty was the right one. ------------------ |

Glad to hear you both kept your Kats. To me the Viper is like a Pro Street Machine at a rod meet. I sit there in awe of its awesome power and would love to get behind the wheel, but I wouldn't want to cruise or drive any distance in one. The Kat is the street rod that I would just love to cruise and cruise and cruise. Even If I could afford both I would still probably buy another Kat. Another thing that made me glad I got the Kat instead of the Snake was an article I saw in a magazine about the expense of maintaining the Snake. High dollar tune ups, oil changes and required service etc. JMO ------------------ |

Thanks for the replies, and yes he got the deposit back with no hard feelings. It's not his fault that the bank said no. Anyway it would be hard for me to keep his money when I didn't want to sell the cat anyway. That's kind of like double dipping. I had another very nice man from Wisconsin that I had told could buy the cat and my wife said "KEEP THE CAT BUY A VIPER AND COME TO BED AND SHUT UP" I think I'll keep her(my wife). I'm sure he would have taken good care of the black cat but the Mrs. has spoken and she IS the boss. No hard feelings as both gentlemen were very nice and I'd let them set at my dinner table anytime. DOC-MAN, had a viper for 3 months because I didn't think I was going to pay $130.000 for a prowler when they first came out. When a friend that owns a dealership called and said he had my car for a deal I couldn't refuse...By Viper. However now my wife wants one. I can't win. ------------------ |
