I find it very interesting to go back one year or even further and read some of the posts. It is amazing how some of the same questions recur over and over as new members come aboard; but also, there is some great info available that I have not seen mentioned recently. Of course the posts from July of 2000 provide some insight as to the formation of prowleronline.com Happy Prowling Marty ------------------ Driving my Dream |

I refer to the old posts if I am looking for something in particular. But, I never just go back over them. ------------------ |

Since I've been here from the beginning, I don't go back just to read.....however, I use the "Search" function a lot to go back for links to previously asked questions or topics....or something I'm trying to remember. |

CJ - You don't go back to read them because 38.6% of the posts were yours. |

Marty, I agree. Many new people ask the same old questions. Guess we all have to learn. Ed....I though it was AL-HEMIERS. That is what my employes keep saying I have. My wife says Selective Memory (select what I want to remember and what I don't)LOL ------------------ |

Ed: The first step is admitting you might have a problem! (lol) I, too, re-read posts on a regular basis. Most every topic has helped to educate me about the joys (and pitfalls) of ownership, what to expect, what to modify and who to believe. The also help me get aquainted with the various characters and personalities within POA. I suppose I can't really give people I haven't met too much grief (sorry, Ed!), but after my first event, anything goes! Kevin This message has been edited by jkburns on 04-08-2002 at 09:34 PM |

Marty, Marty, Marty........are you trying to embarass me? By my recent calculations (30 seconds ago) there were 77,942 total posts. 4,619 (now 4,620) of those were mine. Which means 5.9262015% of those were mine.....you were off by a factor of more than 6! LOL! You, however, have 1.4959841% of the posts.....you've got a lot of catchin' up to do!! lol! |

CJ - Here I was just attempting to be humorous and you actually calculated it!! That's amazing. As far as catching you in the post count, not even fixxum at his blistering pace for a newby will reach your status anytime soon. As far as my comment about people asking same questions, I hope the new members don't take my meaning the wrong way. I don't want people to think the questions are boring or irritating just because they have been asked before. We were all new at one time - for me less than a year ago. What I find interesting is that so people ask the same things; notice the leaks, the brake dust, wonder about more power, etc. Happy Prowling Marty ------------------ Driving my Dream |

Dear Mr. Fixit: You fit right in. However, you pi** me off. Less than two months and you already won a hat. I still haven't won a contest yet and this week I come up with a great topic - Why did you want a Prowler in the same week topcat gets people going about colors again. Oh well -I had my own hats made!! Happy Prowling Marty |

Thanks for your consideration, but I will wait until I earn one with a good topic like everyone else. I don't think I would want to take the abuse from everyone if I became a charity case. |
